Unfailing Passion

Burning in the fiery pits of your life got me afflicted
Your bitter embrace entwined my heart; I'm not protected
Daggers from your cold, icy glare killed me from sight
Those lips, so pale as they are, they have never shaped delight
You casted the colors away and brought tears to the sky
Then, allowed the wind to release a deep shivering sigh

Here I pleaded, "Unravel the truth behind my daze!"
You whispered sternly, "On me, you've wasted a gaze."

You were always oblivious; my passion for you was obscure
Your faintly shining beam was the only thing I tried to procure
My flames desperately roar, but they won't subside
For the Eyes of Heaven sought for them to never divide
The warmth I secrete was difficult to fathom
And the stars above us were always considered seldom

Here I pleaded, "Unravel the truth behind my daze!"
You whispered sternly, "On me, you've wasted a gaze."

This, my vow as I caressed your heart of stone:
The inner tingling sensation will someday be shown
For now, I'm clueless of the plan to seize your heart
But I acknowledged that your steel blade kept us apart
Although you internally loath for my blood to pour
The last drop I'll shed from my body will forever be yours

Once more I pleaded, "Unravel the truth behind my daze!"
You whispered softly, "Leave me... there's nothing to gaze."
