True but False

You have finally awoken from a dark abyss
Your empty heart stated, "Something is amiss."
Tried to unscrew every door in your brain,
But found nothing except for screaming pain

It's clear, you felt you've experienced loss
The worthless treasures vanished with a cause
Chains of memories have slipped away
But these repetitive questions came to stay:

To whom did I show the feeling of affection?
Like constellations at night, did we have connection?
To whom did I display the acts of torment?
Like gloomy skies, did they weep with no content?

A small black box, placed in a white room
It sung pleasant and strange harmonic tunes
Without hesitation, you opened the lid wide
Then out came your answers that had once died

They painted the walls with horrific scenes
Of whom you were which you claimed clean
The colorless images revealed your true self
The one who had banished your heart for help

Tears of disbelief cascade down your cheeks
As you watched your nightmares so dark, so bleak
They suffocated your heart, crushing it by force
Sorrow bled out, but light glowed through the source

The strokes of light washed the specs of paint
Once again displaying the white walls; no taint
Your shattered heart reminded, "That's the past."
Then you realized your pearly beam will forever last
