It took me 30 minutes to locate an upperclassmen to ask for directions. "So you're one of those aids?"
I nodded as he laughed.
"You better hope you're assigned to someone you'll get along with."
I raised a brow. "Why?"He sighed. "Don't underestimate them. They've got demons. Plus you'll be stuck with them for the rest of your high school life. So I'd suggest you be nice to whoever you get." I laughed.
"I never intended to be mean."
He sighed. "Alright, just go to the office, they'll pair you up with whoever you're assigned. Good luck, my friend." He then left, heading the other way towards the mass group of students. I sighed and began to make my way towards the office, holding on tightly to the picture of Yuichiro Amane.I waited patiently on the chairs, the only noise coming from the clicking of the secretary's computer.
Apparently, I was the first one here.Eventually students began walking in, each holding a paper. As more and more people came in, I became more nervous. What if he found out? If he knew I was a caster? He'd definitely avoid me at all costs. He wouldn't become my friend. The door opened once again.
The two boys I saw earlier came in. The brunet holding the hand of a third male. When he walked in, I instantly recognized him. It was Yuichiro.
He had looked even more eye catching than he did in his picture. Although his eyes were still clouded, they looked greener. Every time I looked away, I'd find my way back to them. It's as if his eyes put me in a trance without even realizing it.
"Mikaela Shindō."
The secretary said.
Yuichiro tensed up at the sound of my name. I got up and made my way towards her desk. "Yuichiro Amane."
I watched as the brunet helped guide Yuichiro to the secretary. "Take care of him." I heard the brunette whisper. I nodded as he walked off and sat down.
"Alright show me your papers so that I can verify."
I gave her my paper. She began to scan it carefully. "Ok now yours," he sighed. He extended his hand and waited for her to grab it. She grabbed it and quickly skimmed through it. "Alright, you guys have the exact same schedule and you will for the rest of high school. If you have any complaints then you can go to the counselor.
I then finally was able to hear his voice.
"Mikaela take me to the counselor.""W-What?"
He crossed his arms. "You heard me. Take me to the counselor."
My heart pounded. He already hated me.
"A-Alright,""I don't need him." He said to the counselor. She began to laugh. "And what makes you think that?"
"I've got Asuramaru to help me." She began typing on her computer. "According to this you've been getting bullied since a very young age. You've been sent to the hospital 3 times because of them, and the people who put you there are yet to be identified. You don't have full control of your demon. You're demon, 'Asuramaru', has only saved you 5 times. You've been beaten up over 50 times." Yuichiro looked at her with a stoic expression. "Please stop, you're hurting him." She sighed. "I'm only telling him the truth." The expression he wore changed to one of annoyance. "Then I don't want him. I don't care if he's supposed to help me." He crossed his arms. She sighed. "Why is there always one every year?" She asked no one in particular.
"I apologize for what I'm about to do Mikaela."
She took a deep breath. "What are you going to d-" the counselor's eyes began to glow a vibrant green.
I felt a weird sensation come over me. After a second or two the sensation was gone. "What did you do?" I heard Yuichiro say in a panic."If someone is to refuse who you're assigned to, we do this."
She sighed. "I forgot how tiring it was to bind two people."
