Dean tried desperately trying to think of a new way to apologize to Cas for being so rude. Lost in his thoughts, Dean didn't even realize Cas had left the room until he heard the door close with a soft click. Curiosity got the best of him and he quietly followed out of the door. Cas was already down the hallway and turned by the time Dean stepped a foot out of the door. Quickly following Cas, Dean fell into a quiet, quick pace behind Cas. Cas walked out of the hospital and Dean followed.
Cas had made his way to the nearby park and sat on the bench. Luckily his back was to Dean otherwise that could have been an awkward moment for Dean to get caught now. Cas leaned forward and bowed his head. Dean tried to pretend he wasn't following him so he leaned up against a nearby tree and pretended to be doing something on his phone. Occasionally, Dean would glance up to see Cas in the same position.
Trying to hear past the wind, Dean stood there staring at Cas' lips in hopes of being able to decipher what Cas was saying. Cas sat back suddenly after apparently finishing what Dean could only guess was a prayer. Dean quickly pocketed his phone and tried to leave unnoticed. Dean quickly made his way back into Sam's room and pretended to be watching tv. Ten minutes later Cas appeared through the door. He glanced at Dean for a few moments.
"Were you following me, Dean?" Cas questioned, not moving from in front of the door.
"Yeah, I was worried that something would happen to you," Dean replied, realizing a few moments after that he had actually told Cas the truth.
"I'm an angel, Dean, I will be fine," Cas said, eyeing Dean, probably to figure out if he was lying.
"Yeah, I know, but I was still worried. Cas, I'm not sure if you chose to forget or you actually fail to remember, but your powers are failing right now. I mean, heaven cut you off right now so you don't have a lot of "mojo" to be sparing for a fight or to heal yourself." Dean stated, proud of himself for making up a better reason for following. Cas stared at Dean for a few moments. Dean couldn't help but stare back into his eyes.
'His eyes are so blue, its like you could drown in them.'
