Gakkou Gurashi: The New Club Member

Chapter one (2/3)

It was another day in school, Kyo and the others were eating lunch together on the roof. "Eating up hear is always relaxing, I can see why you like this spot Kyo" Tyler chuckled and took a bite out of his sandwich.

"No, I like it up hear because I'm away from you" the teen replied, "now I need to find a new spot"

Myu giggled as Tyler pouted.

Kyo looked at the sky, watching the birds fly by and closed his eyes, feeling the wind blow against his face.

"Today is a nice day once again" he mumbled softly.

(time skip)

The group seperated as they headed home, saying their goodbyes.

As Kyo walked he saw his uncle, Kyoya. "Hey, Kyo just leaving school I see" he smiled, his uncle has short length brown hair and grey eyes.

Kyo nodded and they walked together. "You guys were okay when I was gone right? I didn't come home this morning since I was handling some adult business with Sakura~"

"We were fine and I could care less about your 'business uncle'" Kyo replied, "keep the things between you and your girlfriend away from me unless I ask"

Kyoya simply chuckled softly. "You're just like your father, full of sly remarks" he ruffled Kyo's hair, the teen's eyebrow slightly twitched due to his irritation.

Once they got home Kyoya went to the kitchen. "How was school Kyo-nii?" Rio asked with a smile.

"It was good what about you?" He asked and patted her head.

"It was really fun" she giggled and Kyoya walked out of the kitchen. "Hey, Rio do you mind going to the corner store for me?" He asked.

Rio nodded and he gave her a list of things to buy, she then headed out and Kyo and Kyoya sat on the couch waiting for her to return.

Rio got what she needed and headed back home, as she walked she looked at the sunset and smiled softly but soon bumped into someone.

"I'm sorry!" She said.

"..."

No response came from the man she bumped into, he turned around and his face looked like a corpse, his skin was rotten. "Graah..." he groaned and grabbed her wrist.

"Ah! P-please let go!" She begged and looked around for help but all she saw was more people who looked like the man.

They groaned and got closer.

"B-big brother help me!"

"Graa"

(at Kyo's house)

Kyo stood up. "Rio should be back by now' he said and Kyoya stood up as well, quickly running out of the house with Kyo behind him.

"Let's split up" Kyoya said and they went their separate ways.

After a while of running around Kyo came across a group of people. "Excuse me, but have you seen a little girl around?"

He got no reply and was about to ask again until he got a good look at them, their skin decomposed and one of them reached out to him but he backed away.

Kyo was getting surrounded by them and took off. "What's going on here?" He asked himself, "I need to find Rio"

Kyo continued to run around and heard a scream coming from the next street, he turned the corner and his eyes went wide with shock.

In front of him a young women was on the floor surrounded and she was slowly being devoured by people who's clothes were bloody and their skin rotten like every one else Kyo saw.

"Ahh! P-please help m-me.. Ahh!"

The women cried out and reached out to Kyo with the last bit of her strength before her hand fell to the ground, blood flowing from her now lifeless body.

Kyo turned to run but saw a familiar figure. "Rio?"

The said girl didn't reply as she slowly walked over to him.

Kyo approached his sister but stopped once he saw her face.

Like the others her skin was all rotten Kyo could only stare in disbelif.

Rio lunged at him with a groan and knocked him down, getting on top of him, her mouth opening and closing.

"Grahh..."

Kyo pushed her off of him and watched her slowly rise up and walk over to him.

'This can't be..' the teen thought to himself. 'This can't be real...'

Rio lunged at Kyo again but he dodged her. 'This should only happen in movies but I'm living it right now'

Rio got close and Kyo found a baseball bat on the floor next to a blood covered backpack and grabbed it. He then swung and the bat made contact with Rio's head and she fell to the floor, not getting back up.

Kyo looked at his sister's lifeless body, a single tear falling down his cheek.

"The apocalypse"
