Gakkou Gurashi: The New Club Member

Chapter two (2/2)

Kyo stared at the school and the crowd of the undead beings walking in the yard. "People better be alive in there or else this may be my grave if I'm not careful" the teen ran in the yard, using his sword to slash a zombie's head clean off.

The thud from the limb falling on the ground was enough to catch the undead's attention and head towards the young teen.

Meanwhile inside the school building two young girls were walking down the hall. One girl had short bubblegum pink hair, and pink eyes. She had a few hair clips and wore a black cat cap along with the school's uniform.

The other girl had short blonde hair and blue eyes also wearing the school's uniform.

"Oh! The window is open!" The pink haired girl went to close the window, which was broken. She then looked into the yard. "Mii-kun, who is that?" She asked.

"My name is Miki, not 'Mii-kun' Senpai" the girl sighed and then looked out of the window, her eyes going wide in shock. 'A survivor!' She thought to herself.

"He has a sword, is he a new student for the kendo club?" The pink haired girl tilted her head. 

"Yuki-senpai! Please stay right here!" Miki said and ran off somewhere, leaving the confused Yuki behind.

Back outside Kyo was slicing and avoiding the zombies that were swarming around him. "There's too many of them"

He swiftly turned around and raised his leg high, kicking a zombie down and stabbed it in the head afterwards. The teen was then suddenly grabbed from behind by the collar of his shirt and fell on the ground.

"Graa.."

The undead corpses groaned as they got closer.

"Hang on!" A female voice yelled and one of the zombies were knocked down by a girl with dark purple hair that was in twin tails and violet eyes, she was wearing a school uniform and had a shovel.

With the undead distracted Kyo swiftly knocked them down by kicking their legs. He then slashed them with his blade.

"This way!" The purple haired girl said and Kyo followed her to the school.

The two came to a barricade of desks that were held together like a wall. They climbed it and on the other side Miki was there and smiled in relief.

The girls then led Kyo to a small room.

"Oooh~" Yuki said in amazement as she looked at Kyo's sheathed sword. "Are you new here? Are you transferring into the kendo club?" She asked with shiny eyes.

"Um..." 

Kyo didn't know how to respond to the curious girl in front of him.

"Yuki-chan, don't ask so many questions" a girl said, she had long brown hair and green eyes, wearing a uniform as well. 

"Sorry, Rii-san" Yuki said.

"I'm Kurumi" the purple haired girl smiled and Miki smiled as well. "I'm Miki"

"My Yuuri but feel free to call me Rii-san if you like" the brown haired girl smiled.

"And I'm Yuki!" The pink haired girl smiled widely as she raised her arm

"I'd introduce you to Megu-nee but she's working on files right now!" Yuki smiled, "but we are the School Live Club!"

Kyo looked at all them he found this to be a interesting group and he would have some questions and they would have some too. But for now he should just introduce himself. 

"I'm Kyo" he said.

"Nice to meet you" the girls smiled.

"I'll go get some water for you!" Yuki ran off once she did Kurumi's smile faded away. "Were you bitten?" 

Kyo shook his head. "No if I was I'd be dead"

"How did you get here?" Yuuri asked.

"I went to the mall and found some tire tracks which led me here" 

"You made a risky move, this place could have been deserted" Miki said softly and Kyo nodded.

"I'm well aware and thank you for saving me" he said and Kurumi smiled. "Thank Miki for that, she told me what was going on"

Miki blushed softly and looked down. "Only because of Yuki-senpai. If she didn't look out the window, I wouldn't have known.."

"Excuse me but about Yuki... Why is she so cheerful? Does she not understand what's going on?" Kyo asked and the girls looked down.

"Well-" Yuuri stopped speaking once Yuki came in the room with a bottle of water. "Here you go!"

"Thanks" Kyo said and drank from the bottle.

"It's getting late, we should sleep" Yuuri smiled and Yuki pouted. "But Megu-nee didn't get a chance to meet him!"

"She'll meet him tomorrow" Yuuri replied and she left the room with Yuki. "Okay.." she whined.

Miki and Kurumi looked at Kyo. "I'll be fine right here" he said.

The girls nodded and left the room. Kyo looked at the now dark sky.

"School Live Club, huh? I guess I can stay here for a while" he said and layed on the sofa, falling asleep.
