Chapter 3 (2/3)

Kyo woke up as he felt the sun's rays on his face and stretched, he got dressed and went out in the hall, seeing Kurumi. "Morning" she said, holding her shovel.

"Morning" Kyo replied.

"I was just about to wake you for breakfast, come on, I'll take you to the club room"

Kyo followed Kurumi to the club room, inside was a table, a stove, a sink, and an erase board. The room also looked a lot nicer than other areas around the school, well from what Kyo's seen.

Rii-san smiled at them. "Good morning, I guess Yuki-chan is still asleep?"

Miki sighed apon hearing this and stood up. "Senpai can be so hopeless sometimes..." the blonde grabbed a laddle and a small pot before leaving the room.

Kyo figured that she must be going to wake Yuki.

Rii-san put plates with curry on the table and then put a picture next to Kyo's plate. The teen observed the photo, the girls were standing with a woman who had pink hair and eyes, wearing a purple dress.

"That's Megumi Sakura, Yuki calls her Megu-nee..." Rii-san said softly as she looked at Kyo. "She was a teacher here and Yuki-chan loved her very much. When everything changed she sacrificed herself to save us"

Kyo glanced over at Kurumi who was looking at the floor with a face of sadness, Kyo then looked back at the photo and Rii-san continued.

"It had an effect on Yuki-chan's mind... She believes that things are normal still"

"So she became delusional yet you let her go on like that?" Kyo looked at Rii-san, the brown haired girl looked back at him.

"Miki-san felt bad when we first told her about this but decided to go along with it. What we're doing is keeping Yuki-chan safe" Rii-san smiled at Kyo, a strange aura coming from her which made Kurumi stand up on guard.

"Well, I'm not Miki and what you're doing to Yuki will only hurt her in the future"

The two glared at each other and Kurumi stood between them. "Hey... Guys please stay calm"

Kyo sighed and handed the picture back to Rii-san. "Whatever, I don't really have the right to tell you what to do but I will say this" the boy looked at Rii-san, his face more serious than usual. "If Yuki gets hurt or worse I'm sure you'll take the blame"

"Why you..!"

Rii-san was cut off as Miki and Yuki entered the room.

"Ahh~ I know that smell~!" The pink haired girl happily sat at the table beside Kyo, who looked at her from the corner of his eye.

Rii-san smiled at Yuki, her slight anger disappearing along with the tension that was in the room and they all began to eat.

After eating Miki helped Kurumi wash the dishes and Yuki smiled at Kyo. "Hey, Kyo-kun what grade are you in?"

"I'm a senior" Kyo replied though he was slightly taken by surprise, not expecting the nickname.

The optimistic girl's eyes shinned. "Ohhh! Just like me!" Yuki looked over at Miki. "Mii-kun, you have a new senpai!"

"It's Miki, not Mii-kun, Senpai" the blonde sighed but smiled softly. "I'm glad I have a new senpai to talk to"

Kurumi looked over at Rii-san, she was writing in a small booklet. She apparently seemed to be still upset.

"Kyo-kun don't you need to get a school uniform?" Yuki asked and Kyo nodded. "Yeah, I guess I'll go down to the front office and ask for one"

"We should take you there! It will be a great way to show you around!"

The other girls seemed to be not so fond of the idea but they were surprised with Kyo's reply.

"No thanks, I'll go alone"

"Ehh?! Are you sure?" Yuki pouted and Kyo nodded.

"Okay... But can I show you around another time?"

"Sure"

The young girl's spirit went back up as she grinned happily. "Okay! I'll be sure to do it later! Now I must get going, Megu-nee will get angry if I take too long!" Yuki happily ran out of the room and Kurumi walked up to Kyo.

"Y-you're not serious are you? About going down there alone.."

Kyo got his sword and nodded. "I ment what I said, I'll find the office myself"

"B-but that's too dangerous besides the club has a rule-" Miki tried to protest but Kyo cut her off.

"I'm not a member of this club so I can go alone"

Kyo walked out of the room and Kurumi and Miki looked over at Rii-san, who was staring down at her booklet.

Kyo walked up to the barricade of desk and climbed over it.

'I'm guessing most of them are downstairs' he thought to himself and began to walk, looking around every corner.

It didn't take too long for Kyo to spot one of "them" and got his blade ready, he ran up to the zombie, getting it's attention. Once it turned around it was too late, Kyo sliced its chest and it fell down with a thud.

Kyo wasted no time in continuing to run.

Back in the hall Kurumi and Miki were both looking at the barricade of desk and the blonde girl looked at Kurumi.

"What happened back there?"

"He and Rii-san had a little disagreement with how we're treating Yuki" Kurumi replied. Miki looked down slightly, remembering that she was the same way at first but then joined the club to understand Yuki better.

"I see" she said softly and then looked back at the barricade. "Will he be alright..?"

"I don't know honestly" Kurumi replied.

"Damn! How many of them are there!?" Kyo asked himself as he ran through the halls, more zombies beginning to show up.

The teen was panting and his clothes were covered in zombie blood.

"Graa..."

A zombie reached out to Kyo but he moved its hand out of the way and stabbed it in the head then kicked it down. As he ran he opened every door he saw, soon finding a room and went inside to catch his breath.

The undead beings on the other side of the door groaned as they banged against it.

Kyo looked around the room and realized he found the room he was looking for, he blocked the door and then looked around for a spare uniform that was in his size.

Once he got the outfit he looked at the door, listening to the banging and groaning that came from the other side.

'What now?' He thought to himself. 'If I go out there there's no way I'll survive. If I stay in here I won't survive'

He clenched his fist, trying to think of a solution. He closed his eyes and all he saw were the zombified images of his sister and uncle.

The black haired teen gripped his blade. "So my only choice is to become one of those things huh?" He asked himself and walked to the door, moving everything away and reached for the knob.

Once he grabbed it he heard a thud. "Kyo!" A voice yelled. The said male opened the door and saw Kurumi and Miki.

"Come on, senpai!"

Kyo ran with the two girls, as they ran two zombies came in front of them. Kurumi glanced at Kyo and the teen immediately got the hint, Kurumi went left and Kyo went to the right, both of them simultaneously slayed the undead beings with Miki following them in awe.

"We're almost there!" Kurumi announced as they ran, more zombies appearing, only to be put down by the shovel and sword wielding teens.

"There's one more!" Miki yelled and Kurumi ran towards the zombie and slid between its legs. The zombie turned to face Kurumi and once it did Kyo sliced its head off from behind.

"Miki!" The purple haired girl yelled and Kyo turned around, a zombie was creeping up on the blonde girl.

"Duck now" Kyo said and Miki did as she was told. The black haired teen threw his sword at the zombie, piercing it in the chest and ran towards it, he then jumped delivering a kick in its face, pulling his weapon out of it.

"Amazing" Miki said.

"Admire me later right now we need to go" Kyo said and they kept running.

The trio soon reached the safe side of the hall, panting softly.

"Thank you for helping me" Kyo said and the girls smiled softly.

"No problem but you're pretty badass" Kurumi playfully punched Kyo's shoulder.

"You're not bad yourself" the boy said and they both high fived.

Miki smiled and Yuuri came up to them, looking at Kyo. The boy looked back at her and spoke first.

"I'm sorry about how I acted" he said and bowed.

The brown haired girl smiled softly. "No its fine. I should have expected your reaction since Miki-chan felt the same when she found out"

"Well. I'm glad we're on good terms again" Kyo said and Yuuri nodded in agreement.

Miki and Kurumi smiled softly at them.

"Well. Rii-san, I have a request" Kyo said.

"What is it?" The girl asked.

"I would like to join The School Live Club"
