I Drown Often

Well, not really. I nearly drown sort of often, but it turns out well in the end.

So we had gone to Colorado on vacation last summer (2015) and the previous year as well. Both times, we went white water rafting. If you don't know what it is, look it up, then come back. Just my recommendation though. However, the second time was...more dangerous.

So there was this one specific rapid and rock called The Ex Girlfriend (or Boyfriend). It was known for dumping people out of their boats and into the water (by the way, Colorado water is always really cold, even in summer).

We were nearing this rock, knowing the dangers of it.

Then, we get there....but the boat hits the rock and it's just enough to flip us over. I (of course) ended up under the boat, and you guessed it, I couldn't get up for a bit. And if you know me, I like to "swim" (I can't) but I hate the feeling of having no control. I'm freaking out, I can't breathe, but then I get to the surface. One of the women on my boat handed me one end of her paddle and pulled me to the shore.

Pretty much everyone flipped over on that rock that day.
