We've all had that moment. That one driver that really makes you question your faith in humanity.
This one guy decided it'd be a good idea to swerve from his lane to ours, without using a signal, and go straight, even though we were in a turn lane. Stupid, right? Yes. Very.
When said driver swerved into the lane, my father was, of course, made to slam on the brakes. I looked up, now fully aware of the situation (especially from my dad's angry muttering).
Our groceries that we had just purchased from Costco, were, thankfully, in a shallow box (so less chance of spillage), but were at an angle because of a water bottle under the box.
Because of this angle, the slamming of the brakes causes the box to tumble to the ground. I am now fully alert and aware of the situation, but not really registering how we could have been in an accident. So, instead of freaking out like everyone else, my first thought goes to: the groceries.
"Uh...the groceries fell.." was my first comment on the whole fiasco. Pathetic, I know.
I guess I'm out of touch with the world.
