• A TONY PERRY LOVE STORY •
I sat on the couch, my head in my hands. He did this. Tony did this. The magazine that sat on my right was all the proof I needed. Tony on the front cover, lip locked with some girl from a bar. Apparently she was famous enough to get on a magazine. 'A New Guy?' the headline read. I couldn't believe it. After all we've been through. Our ups, our downs, they all meant something to me, but obviously not to him.
The front door opened and shut rather loudly. I knew it was him, but I didn't move. I felt completely used and useless. "Halley, are you hom--" he stopped mid-sentence when he saw me sitting on the couch.
All I could hear were his light footsteps coming towards me. He sat down on my left, not even noticing the magazine, yet. He slid his cold arm around my shoulder. It felt wrong, all wrong. "What's wrong, babe?" Tony whispered in my ear. His voice sent cold shivers down my back. I couldn't take it anymore.
I lifted my head from my hands. "You tell me," I said angrily, picking up the magazine and shoving it into his chest. I threw his arm off of me and stood up. He examined it for a good five minutes. "How could you?" I asked, my voice weak.
Tony shook his head, still staring at the magazine. "I-I didn't mean to."
"Screw off with that bullshit, Tony! We both know you meant to do it!" Tears were streaming down my face, I was shaking uncontrollably.
He looked up at me with his brown eyes. They were watery, like he was about to cry, too. He stood up, opening his arms like I was just going to fall into them. Not now. Not again.
"Stop it, Tony! I'm not just going to hug you and everything will be fine, because it won't be," I said. "I'm done."
Tony's face fell completely. "No, Halley, please don't leave. I'm so, so sorry. Just let me explain," he pleaded, grabbing onto my hand. "Please."
I yanked my hand away from his. "I'm done," I repeated, tears threatening to fall again. But before they could, I walked out the front door, not even thinking about going back.
The thing that bothered me the most, was that I heard a bang and a crash after I closed that door behind me. I knew he punched the wall. It was always his number one reaction to anger. That's just how much I knew him. Knew him.

But now in the present, I, Halley Emilia Newton, am a single, broken girl. I've worked at Pauli's Guitar Shop in Brooklyn, New York for two years now. It's been four years since Tony and I split, and over the years, I've gotten tattoos, dyed my hair, and changed my whole attitude.
All I know about Tony now, is that he's apparently in a famous band called Pierce The Veil. It didn't surprise me actually, Tony loved music. I just didn't know he could play guitar so well. But let's forget about him. He's the past anyway.
