Phil coaxed Dan out of bed and they traveled out to the nearest coffee shop. Dan felt like he was in some sort of dream, he was in Phil's clothes, he smelled like Phil, he could still taste Phil, he slept beside Phil in Phil's bed, he was dating Phil, and he was holding hands with Phil on their way to get coffee. His head was spinning as he reached cloud nine. It was like they were playing out his dreams on a movie screen.
They ordered their coffee and found a bench to sit on in the empty park. All the kids were at school and it was relatively private.
"Dan, can I ask you something?" Phil asked.
"Sure, anything." Dan nodded.
"I know we haven't been on many dates...or talked for very long. I just-I can't help but to notice things about you. You're different...mysterious even." Phil explained. Dan wondered where this was going.
"But you're also incredibly kind to me." Phil continued.
"And kissing you last night felt amazing." Phil smiled.
"I guess what I'm trying to say is...do you want to be my boyfriend... or something? If you're not ready I completely understand, it just... feels inevitable to me." Phil asked, timidly. Dan's eyes widened to a point that he thought they would pop out of his skull. He held his breath as he made eye contact with Phil's piercing blue eyes.
"I-I-I" Dan stuttered, feeling his head throb from lack of oxygen. His brain felt foggy and he pinched himself to make sure this was real life. He opened his mouth to speak again, but before he could say a word his eyes rolled back and his body fell, numb, into blackness.

"Dan?"
Dan felt his body shake awake and he gasped. He squinted his eyes in the light and saw the blurry outlines of clouds in the sky and a glowing figure hovering over him. The figure was pale, with black hair and glowing blue orbs. Dan swore he could even see wings on it's back. The glowing blue angel came closer and lifted it's hand to Dan's forehead. It's touch was just as warm as it's glowing blue hues. Dan had never seen a warmer blue in his life. He squeezed his eyes shut and quickly opened them again to see the angel. This time it was clearer and did not have wings or glow.
"Phil?" Dan moaned.
"Yeah. Are you okay?" Phil asked, concern obvious in his tone and face.
"I'm fine. My head just hurts a little," Dan began to prop himself up with Phil's help.
"What happened?" Dan asked, dusting himself off.
"I think you fainted for a few moments. I asked you to be my boyfriend and you're lips turned blue and you just kind of toppled off the bench..." Phil trailed off slipping his hands in his pockets.
"I'm sorry. I've never done that before." Dan blushed, fixing his fringe. Why was he so awkward and embarrassing? He would never know.
"It's fine. Your coffee didn't survive the fall though, I'm afraid." Phil nudged the cup on the floor with his foot. Dan shrugged and threw it in the trash bin.
"Can we pretend like that didn't happen?" Dan asked, rubbing his arm which had taken the most damage from the fall.
"Yeah...but," Phil looked down at his shoes. "...what were you about to say, before?"
"I was about to say, of course!...I'd love to be your boyfriend!" Dan smiled, shyly.
Phil's eyes lit up and he broke into a wide grin.
