ch.17- the date?

"You got a date ? Oh my gosh!! With who?"

"It's not a date we are just going to his house to practice my singing and possibly will be going out to eat after. " I just heard myself talking about that for the first time and it sounds like a date.

"You need a makeover!" brenda gasped to me.

"I know I'm ugly brenda you don't have to rub it in my face." I said laughing.

"But really, I'm gonna be riding my bike there. I'm not gonna get all dressed up to get it messed up."

"Okay but who is the guy? You haven't told me."

"Hehe well that's the funny part..uh its lex. He said i was beautiful and knew that i had a good voice."

"Lex luthor? I don't know andy, he is...well...like he dated kim and she will rip you up of she finds out." she said with a nervous look on her face.

"What? Really? Ugh. I am not dating him actually rather then just being a partner for the solo or trying to be. Ill be okay."

McDonald's.

"Hey, you showed up!" he said greeting me with a smile.

"Yep! Are ya ready to go?" i asked slightly cold i knew i should've brought a jacket.

"Yep, do you wanna borrow my jacket?" He asked as i was staring at it hard.

Umm sure, i guess. He handed me the jacket while he waited ob his bike. I zipped up the jacket and we left.

We arrived at his house and it looked nice. It wasn't super fancy nor small, it was a two story house that was a tannish color.

We parked our bikes in the garage and went inside. The inside looked nice and it was warm and cozy. I gave him back the jacket and put my boots by the door on a rug.

We then walked up the stairs to his room. We ran into his mom who was just getting ready for work.

"I thought you didn't have to work tonight?" Lex asked his mom confused.

"Nope, i got back from work and they had troubles i have to go back. I will be back at about 11 pm hopefully." she said with a tired facial expression. She was too tired to notice me. She was a police officer.

Lex looked very sad and disappointed. "I thought you were gonna here Andy and I sing?"

"Not tonight lex, gotta work. You boys do good though." she said with a long yawn. Hold up. I know she is tired but didn't lex tell her that I'm a girl?

"Mom, shes a girl."
He said to her.

"Oh right! Do good you guys." his mom said and with that she was gone.

Lex looked to me and said sorry.
I told him i understood. We walked to his room and he shut the door behind himself.

"Okay so lets go, so sing ain't no mountain high enough." he said cheerfully.

So i sang the song basically and waited for the response. He looked up at me and i looked down afraid of what he would say. He walked to me.

"You have a really amazing voice. You made it." he said happily.

"Really?" i asked shocked.

"Yes, andrea, you did it." he said.

I couldn't stop myself but i had to hug him. He stood there confused for a moment and then he hugged me back and lifted me up in the air a bit. I laughed because i was happy.

He set me down and after both having a laughing fit, i looked to him and said "now what?"

Well lets practice together. We went over the song multiple times choreographed some moves with it and then stopped. It was already 6:30 and a blizzard was going outside. I asked him how id go him in this and he didn't listen to me.

"Lex come on, i need to be home and the roads are terrible."

" I ordered pizza. Just stay the night here." he said casually.

"At a boys house? I've never done that before, i cant." i said to him.

"Okay well feel free to bike home in that." he said jokingly after a quiet laugh.

"Ugh. What type of pizza did you order?"

"Well i wasn't sure what you liked so i got two boxes of pizza. One with cheese and another with pepperoni." he said hoping i wouldn't be mad.

"Yummy. Thanks." i told him.

"Here i'll put in a movie, what do you like?"

"My favorite movie of all times is 'The Blind Side.'" I said truthfully cause i hate movies that are all about chick flicks and I've had way too much disney today.

"Really? I like alladin but I've been through to much Disney today." he said as he rolled his eyes. This made me laugh.
Lex isn't such a bad guy at all.

Before the movie started we made popcorn and got sodas.
I sat down in a chair and asked him a question that's been on my mind the whole time.

"What happened between you and kim?" I wanted to know why I cant have her move up by him in choir.

"We sorta dated last summer. She was talking to my friends one day and cussed them out. I asked her why and she said that they were molesting her. I freaked out and got so mad at my friends. I asked them why they did that and they never did. I had her over at my house for dinner and i asked why she lied. She called me an effing donkeys butt and called my mom b word. Sorry i don't cuss. I forced her to leave and never come back. She tried coming back to me but she slept with my best friend. I was done. Then she would always get solos for the fall and winter concert and she end up punching me during the winter concert." he said with a look of anger on his face.

"She slept with a guy? Shes only fourteen!"

"Yeah she sure went around with very guy."

"Wait, you didn't-" i was about to ask before he interrupted me.

"Oh heck no. That stuff is not good. I wanted to once but now I'm sickened by her and everything." he said with a look of disgust.

"I'm sorry."

"You are fine. I'm better now."

He looked at me with a small smile. I smiled back.

I grabbed a blanket and sat back down on the couch.

Then the pizza came.

I grabbed three pieces at first then i had another piece by the time i finished five pieces, lex had barely eaten two.

"How can you eat pizza so fast?" he asked me and i responded by laughing. During the movie i got sorta tired and rested my head on lexs shoulder. He didnt seen to mind and then i felt him wrap his arm around my back. I felt more comforted until i felt a burning feeling against my leg. It was very painful that i screamed.
Then i remembered what it was.

The belt. Lex still had his kryptonite belt.
