Chapter 7

When school was finally over,  I couldn't wait to get out of the class,  our history teacher was going on and on about the war of 1812, it was pure torture, besides the fact that I have had to study the war of 1812 a thousand times before for previous missions (don't ask me what the mission was about,  that's clasified),  it was realy boring.

I walked out of the class with Laurel, Freedom at last.

And as we exited the school we greeted each other.

''So I'll see you tomorrow? ''she asked.

''Yup '' I said popping the 'p'.

''I remember you told us in class that you lived in Avalon youth village right?''

''Right ''I said.

''Ok, just so you know,  if you ever want a ride or anything to school, you should just call me since I also live in that neighbourhood.''she said looking a little nervous.

''Thanks Laurel I really appreciate it,  and trust me when I say,  I will definately consider it. ''

'' Great''  she said and gave me a quick hug,  ''ok well see you tomorrow Rowan. ''

''Kay, bye! ''I called after she started jogging to her car and gave her a quick wave.

And with that we went our seperate ways   ,well that's what she thought,  unfortunately she was stuck with me. I followed her home to make sure nobody followed her or tried to abduct her or anything.  And I realised she was right because she only lived a few houses down the street from me.

As I walked into my house I went directly to my bedroom, I was so tired, I never knew school could be this tiring.  I guess I still had a little jetlag from the previous day.

Luckily I didn't get any homework since it was the first day of school and all.

I just collapsed on my bed and let sleep  overtake me.

I woke up and looked  at the alarm clock at the side of the side of my bed,  23:30 it read.  Oh I just wanted to turn around ans sleep again, my bed was so comfy,  but no matter what I tried I couln't get back to sleep.

I sighed and sat up in my bed that's when I saw the moonlight coming through the window, reflecting on something white on my desk.  I got up and strode over to it,  it was the envelope that was there with my school schedule.

Oh yeah, I almost forgot about this,  I thought,  and opened the envelope.

The letter inside read :

Hey Rowan,

I hope you like your house so far  ,and that everything is going smooth on your mission and that there are no unexpected obstacles.

Talking about your mission,  maybe you're wondering where your gear and all might be since I told you it would be at the house.  Well everything is there it's just all hidden so that when you have guests over or anything they won't take one look at your house and be able to say : ' Oh this girl is a spy and all'.

Ok back to reality, here are the instructions to get to your gear etc.

  1.  Go to the kitchen,  on the wall next to your fridge you will see something that looks like an alarm system keypad,  well it is,  but it's also a keypad to open your 'lab'.

  2. The code to your alarm system is 8765,  not that you would need it,  the neighbourhood is very safe,  but just incase. 

  3 . Ok now we can get down to bussiness,  the code to unlock your 'lab'is 2277 *  . You will see the wall behind you split apart,  to form a door, and a stair case that leads you your 'lab'.

I did as the Instructions said typing in the kode to my, 'lab' , and well... it was just like the letter said it would happen,  the wall behind me split in two and opened.

4. Once you go down  the stairs,  you will come to a set of glass sliding doors,  it works with facial recognition,  so it ought to open when you get there.

I went down the stairs and to no surprise I found the sliding doors that opened, when I reached it,  as it opened the lights inside the 'lab 'automatically went on.  Awesome.

5. As you might notice the lights will go on once you enter and will automatically swich off once you exit,  yeah it helps with saving electricity,  you know fighting the cause of global warming and all.

6. Your weapons and gear will be arranged on the left side of the 'lab ', just like it was in mine,  sorry its not as much as mine,  but we could only get you the necesities.

I looked up from my letter to where my gear was supposed to be arranged,  my mouth dropped when I saw it I didn't expect there to be such a wide variaty,  there was an arrangement of, knives,  not that many, just seven or so,  and then there were guns, I smiled when I saw the gadget section,  there were bugs(listening devices ) that could be put on a person's jacket or something to listen in on their conversations etc. and there were night vission glasses and ninja blades. So. Fricking.  Epic.!!!

And lastly there was my favourite,  my bow and assortment of arrows.

7. On the right side of the room.  Will be all the computer and electronics you will need.  The Computers work very much the same as they do here in MI6,  The surveillance  cameras that are in Laurel's house are  alread y connected to your compurers. Her phone is not connected though,  but I'm sure you will have no problem hacking into it.

Ok Rowan that's about it I can't do anything else for you,  sorry I wish I could be there for you on this mission,  but I have other assignments to complete.

I didn't know how serious this mission was before,  but now, judging by the equipment they gave me,  I seemed pretty serious.

As I sat there going through all my gear I felt the fatigue catching up to me,  so I exited the lab and just like the letter said,  the lights switched off once I was outside.  I went back up the stairs and the wall- doors closed automatically once I was out.

I headed back up stairs and and got back into my fluffy bed.

Boy,  what have I gotten my self into. I thought.

And it was not long before I fell back into sleep.
