My eyes open to meet the same familiar hazel pair. Both of our eyes widen at the same time. The more aware I get of the situation, I realize that we're lip to lip. He slowly pulls back with an awkward smile then laughs.
"What was that little thing that just happened?" I examine my surroundings. We're in a meadow, with poppies and dandelions scattered in different places.
"You fainted and our true love's kiss awakened you." He says with a serious face.
"W-w-what?" I'm literally in pure confusion right now.
"I'm just kidding." He laughs again. "You passed out in the tunnel so I had to give you mouth to mouth. But you're alive now." He stands up and so do I.
"Where are we?"
"We're here." He walks off. I jog to catch up to him.
"And what is here?"
"Here is here." I follow him into a cave.
"You don't have a match or torch or something? It's hella dark in here." We keep going until it's pitch black. I trip over a rock and fall flat. I try to get up but feel a sharp pain in my chest.
When I open my eyes I'm in a room. A hospital room, in a hospital bed. Do not tell me that was another dream. I have one those heart beat monitors to my left and a tray of fruit and apple juice.
"Condy, you're awake!" My dad exclaims. He walks over and hugs me tightly.
"What happened?"
"Oh Condy, I think you tried to kill yourself."
"What?"
"I found you unconscious in the pond back there. I swam to get you then called nine-one-one." The nurse walks in with a clipboard.
"Dad, I would never try to kill myself. I was just following the guy through the water tunnel, and then we got to this mea...." Wait, that was a dream.
"She's just a little delusional right now. All the water she swallowed went to her head and unbalanced her brain liquid percentage. She'll be fine soon. Honey, are you ok?" She puts a hand on my shoulder. Wow ok, these people really think I tried to drown myself.
"Look guys, I'm totally fine. I was just sleepwalking and walked into the pond. Nothing more, nothing less." Hey, that actually makes sense. I got this whole situation down. My dad and the nurse look between each other, then she walks over to my dad.
"I think she's trying to ignore the fact and making excuses for what really happened. Don't worry, it's normal." She tries to whisper.
"I can hear you." I plainly tell her. "Do you want me to tell you the truth?"
"Absolutely." She has a determined look.
"Ok, so one day I dreamed about this guy and he was kinda weird and we went to this pond and it was really clear. So we swam through this tunnel and the next day I continued the dream right, and turns out I passed out halfway through the tunnel so he gave me mouth to mouth. And I lived and we went through this cave, I tripped and woke up in this bed. That's why I said that I was probably sleepwalking and made it into the pond." I explain.
"Hmm." She scratches her chin. "I'm going to talk to the other doctor about it. I'll be right back sir." She better not think I'm lying.
"Condy." He has an accusing tone.
"What?"
"Condy."
"What? I'm not lying. Why would I lie about that? Why would I lie to you about that?"
