"Condy, I heard you were crying. You ok?" He looks extremely worried. I nervously nod. "Well what happened?"

"Gosh Devin, it's a girl thing. Stop asking before she gets embarrassed." Marisia loudly whispers.

"Oohh ok." He nods.

"Well we're heading to the library." She drags me off.

"Bye Condy!" He yells after me and waves.

"Ok, let's get this started." She leads the way.

~~~~~~~~~~
"Mhm, just like I remembered."
"What?"
"So all people from the dream world are extremely possessive like Devin. They'd do anything to get what they want, in this case get rid of everything that's getting in between you and Devin. A long time ago someone hid the rock before it was too late so the dream people were looking for it, and Devin found it." Marisia explains.
"Wait how did the person hide it?"
"When the dream person was sleeping she took the rock and went to the place he took her first and it took her into the dream world. So for you, he took you to the pond. Just follow the way you did I guess. Through the tunnel, yea?" I nod.
"So it's that easy, phew."
"Not quite, when the rock gets to far the dream person senses it, besides, it's their pathway to here. So he chased her down and she barely made it. But he caught her and....."
"What happened?" I ask full of suspense.
"I don't know, the page is ripped out." The slight tone of fear in her voice makes me a little scared too. "So I suggest when you get that rock, don't sneak, sprint as fast as you can. Then hide it."
"Ok, got it. But where?"
"I don't know, that part is ripped out too. But after that, just wake yourself up."
"What else did the book say?"
"Don't make them think you don't have feelings for them anymore or want to leave."
"Wait, why?"
"That's all it says, it looks like someone wrote it in too." She closes it. We sit there in silence thinking about what has happened already and what is going to happen.
"I don't wanna go...home." I bet what he made it isn't home anymore.
"You can sleep over my house."
"Really?"
"Yea, my dad would be totally ok with it."
"But he doesn't even know me."
"He does, remember, you're my best friend here. Of course he knows you." She laughs while we leave. "Don't you have to tell Devin you're here?"
"Yea, and I never got his number because we were practically always together. I could get some clothes anyway." We walk home because the tension prolongs the silence. I take a deep breathe before knocking on the door. The person that answers shocks me.
"Mom?"
"Hey Condy." She says hi like we normally see each other.
"H-hi." I stutter and she moves out the way so I can walk in. The house looks so different.
"Hi Ms.Smith, I was wondering if Condy could sleep over today."
"Of course. Is Dev coming or is this a girls night?" She lightly laughs.
