It's been a few hours since I got dismissed from prison, I have completed my five years and I am a free man again, but life will not be the same as before.

I stumble into an unconsidered club, unaware of my surroundings at least until I find myself a seat. Observing the vibrant atmosphere, young erotic performers strip teasing their lingerie, either partly or completely in a slow and sensuous manner:before I knew it; I am in a gentleman's club. Tempting, I know. though I did not let that bother me, I put all my attention on the drink that I held in my hands.

A partly nude young lady casually stumbles over to a slightly sobber Aaron; who completely disregards the surroundings. Once she reaches his table, the first thing she did was to take away the glass of liquor from his hand.

"I think that's enough for one night." She says, placing herself on the opposite side. It took Aaron a while to give the young lady his attention, nonetheless could he even react to his drink being taken away.

Aaron just gazes at the woman, not uttering a word, trying to figure out if he is familiar with her. The young African -American just pulls a beam at the fact that Aaron couldn't recognise her.

"You don't recognise me at all, do you?"

The ex-detective takes back his beverage, finishing it off before making a reply.

"Not with a foggy mind."

"Not a very convincing statement, maybe old age is finally kickin' in."

Aaron displays an inappreciably offensive manner towards the comment. "I am not considered a senior quite yet nor do I have any grandchildren."

The erotic performer chuckles in advance.

"Could it be that I changed that much in terms of physical appearance. How about a closer look?" The African - American stumbled over to him placing herself onto the ex-detective's lap, enclosing her arms around his neck; pursuing an attempt to caress her lips onto his, but before she could, Aaron turned away while lightly pushing her away.

"That's too close."

"Thinking about your wife?"

"Well...was."

"Faithful husbands are a myth." she finally states.

"As long as young women such as yourself exist in this world, seducing us."

At that point, the erotic dancer stands up. "I don't really care about whether you have a wife."

"My theory proven." the young lady turns away from Aaron's direction. "I'm just doin' my job." The ex-detective releases a small chuckle. "You are not doing your job right, as far as I know, there isn't supposed to be any physical contact."

"Whatever." she replies followed by folding her arms.

"Why this path?" Aaron finally enquires.

It took a while before the young lady could reply. Firstly releasing a disheartening sigh. "I don't have a future."

Those words had given him a hint.

"Jazmine Travis." so he uttered.

The African - American claiming to be Jazmine takes a quick glance towards Aaron. "It's only temporary - besides you had forgotten."

"I am slowly recovering." Obviously understanding what she is talking about.

"Well, excuse me. I gotta get back to work."
