Jazmine stops at same secluded area, she happens to be earlier that day and five years ago, impatiently she waits for Kevin; pacing forth and back with the revolver in her grip.
Suddenly headlights make an appearance from a distant, and the young woman hopes it is Kevin.
After some time the car makes a halt near Jazmine's car and the person she expects climbs out.
"So where the money at?" is Kevin's first impression. "Just in that freshly dug hole."
She points out the direction with her head. "All this time you had it buried?"
He asks while excitedly heading to retrieve the rusted metal cases that rests at the bottom of the hole."Actually it was Drew."
"Ey, is this some kind of joke?" he inquiries upon opening the hollow cases.
"Where's the cash?"
Kevin picks up the sound of a revolver, getting ready to shoot and discovers Jazmine aiming the revolver straight at his direction. "Ey, what fuck is this?" the young lady doesn't answer. "Oh I get it you want the money all for yourself, ain't that right?""To hell with the money! I don't even know where the hell it is." she claims while still holding her current shaky posture.
"The hell is this 'bout?"
"It's about Drew." Jazmine pronounces.
"What 'bout him?""You backstabbed him!Or at least you planned to!"
Kevin throats a chuckle "That's it?!"
Jazmine adds on "You tried to rape me!"
"Ah! Get yourselves a life, you gotta let go of the past, all of that shit happened five fucking years ago."
Jazmine makes an objection "Uh-uh, you tried to do it again just recently! You didn't think I'd know didn't you?!"
Kevin attempts to talk some sense into her, "We can't mess each other up for stupid things like this, and in any case I doubt you look comfortable trying to shot me."
"Oh, yeah?"
"Just look at yourself." obviously referring to her quivering body.
"I've done it before." with that her index finger pulls the trigger to prove Kevin wrong; it hits the gangster on the abdomen. Jazmine becomes still, meanwhile Kevin is stunned by the bullet embedded into him; still processing if he really got shot.
Jazmine manages to overcome her cowardice and fires another shot, but then a car makes an entrance into the scenery taking place, interrupting Jazmine.
"Whoa, whoa...Jazmine put the gun down."
The African American redirects her aim to Aaron's direction. "Stay out of this Aaron! If you get involved I'm going to have to shoot you too."
"Well, I'm already involved the minute I got here. Listen to me, you don't want to do this." he says this as he slowly makes his approach towards her while putting his gun down bit by bit until it meets the ground. "See, I'm not armed anymore, so I won't hurt you, you don't want to do this, you don't want to end up in prison for homicide."
Jazmine reconsiders the man's words before dropping the revolver. Aaron sees his chance to go and aid Kevin with his wounds.
"Why are you helping him? He doesn't deserve any of it."Aaron knees near Kevin's collapsed body which is still very active; trying his best to fight the pain and remain alive.
"I don't know what your bief is with this guy here, but you can't just go around killing people are you please."Jazmine merely just scoffs while crossing her arms, watching Aaron attempting to remove the bullets from a wailing Kevin, after the task is complete he commands the gangster to use his hands to slow down the bleeding just until help arrives.
Aaron stands onto his feet, smearing his blood stained fingers onto his shirt; not too bothered by it.
Jazmine feels like it is a appropriate time to make a confession. "Aaron, since like we're here, I might as well tell you what happened to Vanessa."
Jazmine prepares herself as she knows that it's not going to end well, Aaron doesn't necessarily give her his attention; he's mostly focused on getting his fingers clean from the blood as possible."I did it okay! I shot Vanessa."
Aaron stops his current action, he swiftly turns to her direction and approaches the young lady in such speed. Jazmine is petrified; she slowly moves back in her tracks not sure what Aaron is about to do to her.
A palm making a ferocious impact against skin echoes in the secluded area, Jazmine places her hands onto her stinging cheek; refusing to return her face to it's previous posture, just to avoid eye contact with Aaron; she just learned the terrible truth based on the man's anger that stands before her; his anger fuels his aggressive side. But, she accepts it as is.
"Why?!" his voice is higher than usual, the African American turns to him "She...she hurt my brother...she was a hypocrite! She was a two-timing two-faced bitch!" Aaron delivers yet another slap, sending Jazmine to the ground; proof that it was harder than the first.
"Don't you dare call my daughter that!"
Jazmine releases a phony chuckle "Oh I'm sorry if my honesty hurt your fragile feelings, but it's the truth. If you think you knew your daughter all the way, you were mistaken."
"What did you do with her body?"
"She's buried somewhere in this area." Aaron tightens the grip of his fists. Jazmine notices this. "What? are you going assault me some more?Perhaps shoot me? After all this is the perfect time and place to get vengeance for your sweet little daughter, so go ahead! do it!"
Aaron breathes out, as if he is trying to calm down.
"As tempting as that sounds, I'm not going to kill you." he seems to claim, and the African American is astound by his answer "You're not?"
"Killing you is the kindest thing I can do for you. After all, death is the easy way out; it ends all suffering and pain. And I want you to continue to suffer.""Oh, that makes sense...and fair enough. Your wish is my command. I'll continue to live on, for your sake."
They perceive sirens headed their direction and two cop cars stop at their location. One of the cops begins to question them. "What happened here?"
"Why don't you ask the lady? Is all Aaron's response.
The other cops head to check up on Kevin "What happened to him?"
"Isn't it obvious? I shot him." Jazmine surprisingly admits.
"So ma'am, you shot this guy here?" the same cop who questioned them before tries to confirm.
"Did I stutter? Besides there's also human remains in this area."
The cop takes down a report. "I'm afraid that you're under arrest for attempted murder, anything you say can and will be used against you in court." he states as he helps her on her feet and finally cuffing her. "Ugh! Whatever."
"And this thing about human remains, you'll be questioned about it at the police department ."
"And you sir, what's your business here?"
"I was trying to stop her from doing something stupid, but I was too late."
"Is it true what she says?"
"The attempted homicide, yes...the one about human remains, I know nothing about."
"Well, I guess it's time to call in the homicide detectives."
