"Noooo!!!!" I shouted through the duct tape. But it was no use. Boss was still aiming at me.
Before I could try to squirm more, I heard the blast of his pistol and felt the bullet penetrate my skin. But surprisingly, I felt absolutely no pain. I actually felt more relaxed, more sleepy, more...
I felt my eyes glaze over for the third time today. My mind clouded over again, and my body hang loosely. Bernie caught me before I could hit the ground, but I am pretty sure I wouldn't have felt any pain even if I did fall off of the leather couch.
I was overly relaxed, and I enjoyed that feeling. I soaked in that feeling unlike the past 2 times. I knew I would be OK. I have been.
As soon as I started to relax, an image jumped in front of me, just like the second time. But it was a different picture this time. But it was still just as disturbing.
There was a city. It appeared to take place in the middle of a war. There was rubble everywhere from what appeared to be ruins from a bombing. People were covered in dust, coughing and in the middle of a major road. Women and children were led by firefighters and police into ambulances to be taken away. Where to was unclear, but I assumed it was to a hospital. Male civilians, wounded or not, were handed a gun by other officers and were told to aim at something in the sky. It appeared to be a military airplane. I couldn't tell for it was too far in the distance.
While I continued to study the picture, it began to become more fuzzy and blurry. And the blurry that the image became, the more I was focused back into reality. Only seconds later, I was back into the real world.
But I wasn't back where I was before.
