"Hey babe, your friends are here." Cameron yelled to me from the front door. I quickly grabbed my purse and applied my last coat of mascara before running out to greet them. "Brinley! Karina!" I exclaimed pulling them both into a hug. I looked over at Cameron who hadn't taken his eyes off of me since I came out. "Madison, you look absolutely beautiful. " he acknowledged. I could feel the heat rise to my cheeks. "Aw cam, thank you. " I replied as he wrapped his hands around my waist and pulled me in for a kiss. "Now you guys keep the boys away from my princess okay?" He asked Brinley and Karina. "Hmm we will see there may be some hot ones. " Brinley joked. Cameron raised his eyebrows at me, "maybe it's best you not go out then. " I made my best puppy dog face and pleaded..."Mads I'm kidding have fun you guys! But seriously. " "Okay, you too cam don't get into too much trouble. " I replied. "As much trouble as pizza and ESPN can be. " I added before heading out the door.
We made it down to the lobby of our apartment complex before Cameron came rushing out of the elevator. "One more thing maddi, I love you. " I could hear my best friends' squeals of excitement behind me as I ran into cam's arms and kissed him goodbye. "I love you too. "
"Okay girl lets hit the town!" Brinley yelled as we got into my car. "Okay so what even is the plan for tonight?" I asked pulling out of the parking lot. "What's the plan? Oh hun do we have a plan!" Karina began, "So first is dinner at the Otium and then to the club for some dancing!" "Sweet! That sounds perfect you guys! We are going to have so much fun! " I raved. Then we turned on the music and blasted it all the way downtown.
The restaurant wasn't too packed for a Friday night in LA and we were able to get a table. We spent the majority of dinner talking about the latest with our jobs and boyfriends. even though we talked just about everyday there was never a dull moment in the conversation.
We finished dinner and walked around downtown until we made it to the club. The second we walked in Rihanna's, "needed me was playing which immediately cause all three of us to start belting out every word. Within a matter of seconds we were in the middle of the dance floor having a blast. "It's getting so hot. I need a drink. " Brinley exasperated. I nodded in agreement and suggested to go get drinks for all of us. I left the dance floor and headed to the bar. "Hi can I have a strawberry Daiquiri, a sangria, and the Malibu cocktail?" I asked the bartender. "Sure thing Hun! I'll be right out with those. " she replied almost too chipper (I assumed she had a few drinks in her) While I was waiting for our drinks a guy around my age approached the bar. He ordered them looked at me. "Can I help you?" I asked. "No but I can help you, get into my pants. " he replied coming closer. I put my hand up to his chest to push him away. "Ew sick I have a boyfriend." "He doesn't have to know." He replied winking. "No, listen I love him very much so why don't you go find someone else to have a one night stand with Kay?" I spat. "Ahh now that just won't do. Listen here missy you're gonna be mine tonight like it or not!" He fired back. "Well we will just see about that. " I shot before turning away from him. When my drinks came I didn't realize they did until the guy, whom I came to understand his name was Scott handed me my drink. Not thinking if he had done anything to it I drank it right up and reached for the other drinks for Brinley and Karina. I barely felt my hand wrap around the glass when everything went pitch black.
Brinleys pov
We had been dancing for awhile when we realized maddi was taking too long at the bar. "Should we go check on maddi?" I asked Karina. "Yea I'm pretty sure it wouldn't take this long even if it's busy. " she agreed and we pushed through people to get to the bar. Once we got there we noticed our two drinks still sitting on the counter but maddi was no where to be seen. "Excuse me, you haven't seen a blonde girl with a black dress on? " I asked the bartender. "Cute? Fit? Hair cut into a long bob?" She asked. "That's the one. " Karina answered. "Hmm she was here a bit ago and then a guy came and was talking to her and they left together. " why would she leave without us? Plus Cameron wouldn't come get her like that. "What did this guy look like?" I further questioned. "He was um blonde really buff. " my heart sank to my stomach, the guy she was explaining obviously wasn't Cameron. And I knew my best friend would never cheat, so there was one thing left. I turned to Karina and whispered," maddi would never cheat on Cameron. What if she got like kidnapped?" Karina looked as if she had seen a ghost. "Oh no. We need to go look for her!" She exclaimed. We both ran out of the bar as fast as we could. I pulled out my phone and hit Maddie's contact. It rang and no answer. I called again. And again. And again. Nothing. "Okay let's called Cameron she could just be home." We dialed Cameron's number hoping and praying she would be home. "Hello?" He answered sounding as if he had fallen asleep. "Um Cameron this is Brinley is maddi home with you?" I asked worried. "No why? Where is she? Is she okay?" He asked already freaking out. "Okay Cameron calm down don't worry but she left us to get drinks and we can't find her. The bartender said she left with some guy. And I know she wouldn't cheat on you I just and she's not answering her phone I don't know what to do. I'm so sorry. " I rambled on nervously awaiting his response. "Holy shit! I can't believe you let her go alone!!! I'm coming right now! Call the police I'll be there in a minute! What bar? " I felt horribly and quickly told him which club to where he hung up the phone. "Karina I'm freaking out where could she be? I feel horrible. " "it's okay she will be okay. I'm worried lets just call the cops okay?" She reassured and pulled her phone out. We dialed 911 and hoped for the best.
