Cameron had been away for 6 months traveling Europe for various work opportunities. A photshoot here, runway show there, meet and greets, you name it he did it.
Figuring since we had gone 3 months without seeing each other when he had other commitments outside of LA...another 3 wouldn't be anything. I was wrong. Not being able to see Cam for 6 months really took a toll on both of us, granted it made our relationship much stronger. We made things work, through phone calls and Face-Time. I never understood the importance of communication until now.
Now the wait was over, those long months were behind us. And I awoke to a beautiful, sunny California morning and a smile on my face. The love if my life way finally coming home. I hopped out of bed, ecstatic knowing the next time I wake up it would be beside Cameron. I head into the bathroom washed my face, brushed my teeth, and found my outfit I had laid out the night previous. Once dressed, I douced myself with his favorite perfume and began applying makeup.
Finally finished, I ran downstairs and grabbed our puppy Bruno as I made my way down the lobby to the car.
Pulling into LAX sent a wave of endorphins throughout my body. Butterflies grew in my stomach, and my heart beat at a thousand miles an hour. I had longed to feel his touch, his arms around me...I would no longer have to wait. Bruno in my arms, I made my way into the airport to await Cameron's arrival. As I sat at the gate, my heart began to beat faster and I began to tap lightly on my knee. A nervous habit I gained throughout the years. Suddenly I felt a presence behind me, "God how did you get even more beautiful?" I turned around and threw my arms around Cameron burying my head in his shoulder. "Cam I missed you so much." I cried. "Darling I missed you too. I'm home now okay?" he replied lifting my head with his hand. "Please don't leave again." I whispered. "Never...next time you're coming with me. " he smiled and pressed his lips to mine. Kissing him after so long felt like magic, it brought me back to the first time we kissed...the first time I realized I was falling in love with him.
"Baby I love you so much." he whispered against my neck.
