Summary:
17 year old Tessa Baxter is used to struggle and heartbreak. Her and her mother are all alone and barely living. She works 2 jobs to help her mother pay the bills. All she has are her good grades and positive attitude. She has managed to keep the same 2 friends for 6 years and an abusive boyfriend for 1 and they know nothing of her struggles. She puts on a smile but deep inside she's in pain.
She gets to the point where she wants to give up. Then she bumps into the new kid Caden Lawson. He's new to town and can't find his way around. Tessa tries to help but his negative attitude declines and leaves Tessa wondering about this boy. She knows he's hiding something and she wants to find out.
This is a journey filled with laughs, loss, and love that brings friends and families closer together.
