(Amy's P.O.V)
Rouge said she was going to take me to a tree, it's like everywhere I go there seems to be weird stuff going on.
Finally we reached a meadow with a pretty pink tree in the near a pond.
Rouge sat down in front of it.
"Go on, talk to it." Rouge said with a smile.
"Um. No we are not foolish enough to talk to a tree." I said. The reason why I still talk like this is for Mina's sake.
"Just, do it." Rouge said with an encouraging smile.
...
"Hi." I said. Mina must be confused and not know what 'hi' means but I don't really care.
"Hello..." said a calm female voice.
Startled I looked at Rouge who was giving me an I-told-you-so-look.
"Um, why does everyone here say we except for Rouge, Cream... and Sonic." I shuddered at the last part remembering if I take off the ring Rouge is right beside me.
"Queen Sally plays by her own rules, she said it's best to keep talking like that because it's a 'tradition'. Really many has stopped talking like that just a few years ago, but in her kingdom... everyone must speak that way. This is a different kingdom, anyone can speak how they want. Cream thinks she's a teenager so she thinks it's cool to speak this way." The pink tree said.
Thinks she's a teenager, she got that right.
"We, well in your case. I choose to speak this way. My name is Cosmo." The tree said.
Cosmo!
"Greetings Cosmo, I speak both ways actually. How come the kingdoms are so close?" I asked.
"NEVER MIND THAT!" Rouge yelled. Obviously bored.
"Ask her about Sally." Rouge suggested.
"Sally Acorn! The new queen?!" The tree suddenly turned from calm to furious.
"She turned us into this..." The tree said sounding sad.
"A tree?" I asked confused.
"After she smite queen Vanilla and Fiona, the one who witnessed her doing it." Cosmo said.
Oh I totally forgot about Fiona.
"She was overjoyed, she told all her friends. We were thine friend before she turned us into a tree." Cosmo said.
"That night she sneaked out to the meadows to meet us like she always did. She told us what she did and we told her if she keeps her cruelty, a brave maiden who knows the secret will come up against you, than the one who ye hast betrayed will come up and smite thee." Cosmo said.
"We were only telling the truth." Cosmo explained.
"What happened after." Mina stepped in.
"Threatened, she somehow turned us into a tree. Which I guess is a little racist because I'm a Seedian. I'm pretty sure she also did that because we knew the secret... than she threw Mina and Julie-su in because they know the secret as well." Cosmo finished.
I nodded.
I understand now.
I'm the brave maiden.
