Chapter Five
It's been three hours and I have had no word from Thane. I mean come on! Doesn't he feel the least bit guilty? I'm already over it, but he still hurt me.
I was seated on the couch with a book in hand as I read, I had changed out of Thane's clothes and borrowed a girl my age's clothes. And thankfully they weren't dull colours, I'm wearing a nice bright baby blue tee, that had a cupcake on it with a pair skinny jeans; thankfully my size too.
"Luna, the Alpha has summoned you to his office" I looked up to see a small boy talking to me. He looked around ten or twelve', with brown shaggy hair and honey brown eyes.
You know the awkward moment when you look at a little kid and know that in the future they're going to end up hot? Yea I'm experiencing that moment. Why are the Were species just so god damn attractive?
"Tell your Alpha, to go suck it" I said, I may be over it but I'm still pissed.
"But Luna, I can't say that. Alpha will kill me"
"Warn him; say that the message will piss him off." I replied. The kid nodded and walked off. I took the opportunity to go find a room to hide in.
I walk around, and spot the game room and ran inside. I quickly lock the door and take a seat on the bean bag chair and grabbed the nearest remote control and started playing COD.
And let me tell you I rocked ass! I managed to get to beat the highest score easily. But I wasn't one to give up.
And as expected I heard banging on the door nearly five minutes later, knowing right away it would most likely be Thane I ignored it and continued playing.
"Open this door right now"
I rolled my eyes, I knew it was Thane.
"Miss Collins I swear I'll break this door down." He growled out angrily.
Huh yeah right, first he calls me by my last name all formal and whatnot and then expects me to walk up and open the door? I just ignored him and continued my playing on the game.
"That's it I'm breaking this door down" he shouted. That's the most informal I've heard him since I first laid eyes on him. Whatever it's not my door he's breaking, I'm not going to be paying for it.
I looked at the door waiting for it to break down, but instead to my surprise it was unlocked and opened without any damage. Thane stood there with an angry face and a pair of keys in his hands. No wonder. Cheep stack; won't even break a door down.
I just shrugged and pulled up another controlled and threw it at him. He effortlessly caught it and raised an eyebrow at me.
"Come on we're playing COD" I said with a bright smile.
I didn't want to talk about what happened back in his office. I already forgave him, and didn't feel the need to hear his explanation. He already made the effort to try and talk to me and that was enough.
Thane walked over with a weary look on his face and sat down on the other bean bag beside me. I raised my eyebrow at him confused, but he only shook his head before a determined look crossed his face.
I started the game up it hadn't even been two minutes before Thane's player died.
I looked over at him cussing words under his breath before I burst out laughing. No wonder he looked so wary on playing with me. He never knew how.
"Oh my god! You don't know....hahahaha...how to....hahahaha...play call of duty?....hahahaha... that's like the universal need for male teenagers to know how to play!" I choked out as I laughed. I was still laughing, I had tears running down my face as I fell off the bean bag and held onto my sides.
"Are you done?" I heard Thane mutter in an annoyed way.
"No give me a minute" I said before I burst out laughing again. I looked over to Thane to see him scowling at me while cussing under his breath.
"Ok I'm done, now tell me how do you not know how to play COD? I mean your nineteen for crying out loud!"
He scowled again before answering.
"I used to play when I was thirteen but it's been a while. I turned Alpha at fifteen and never had the time, since I was either training, doing alpha duties or at school studying."
I burst out laughing.
"What is it now?" Thane asked annoyed.
"You said duties" I burst out laughing again, while Thane rolled his eyes.
"But seriously you have had a boring ass life dude. No wonder you're so you"
"What that supposed to mean?"
"What?"
"You said no wonder you're so you...what's that supposed to mean?" I let out a chuckle before answering.
"Well you're really silent...kind of shy like but not really. Like more anti social. You're really boring and formal. You do not act your age you act like a frickin' 40 year old. Then you're really mean, you have no idea how to talk to a girl. You don't know how to play COD! COD! I still can't get over that...I mean everyone knows how to play COD! Anyways, you seem to never smile and always seem distant. Like you don't trust anyone. And I am 100% sure saying the words 'thank you' and 'sorry' are way too difficult for you."
I looked over to Thane to see him with a ticked jaw and a faraway look. It looked like I hit home because he got up and started walking towards the door. He opened the door and before stepping out he looked back at me and said.
"The food was delicious, thank you. I'm sorry for the bruises but next time don't touch my things and starting tomorrow you're teaching me how to play that game...CO- call of duty." He stated in monotone before walking out.
Well he managed to say prove me wrong by thanking me and apologizing. He acknowledged that he ate the food, but at the same time he acted aggressive and mean. Yet somewhat playful when he made me his teacher for COD, yet he managed to remain formal.
Damn!
