10. Feeling' Alive

Me and Nick were on our way to the music room when we bumped into Kevin.....well, I bumped into Kevin. Nick would never do such a thing, of course...remember? I'm the clumsy twin and you better believe, that Nick will never fail to point that out. All in good brotherly spirit, of course...um...yeah...

Kevin *almost dropping his iPhone* "Whoa there, Buglet!"

Jess "Sorry!"

Kevin *smiles* "No harm done. What are you guys up to?"

Nick "Just heading to the music room..."

Jess *grins* "...to jam and try out my new guitar."

Kevin "Sweet. I might catch up with you in a little bit!"

Jess "You mean, right after you're done having yet another hot steamy love affair *wiggles eyebrows* with your iPhone, you'd cheat on it with us? What an honor!"

Nick *gives Jess a look* "Jess...what the...? Seriously? *to Kevin* She does have a point! You never put that thing down! *to Jess* really, though?"

Jess "Oh, grow up, and laugh about the innuendoes, Nicky!"

Kevin *giggles*

Nick "JESS! You don't even....no..no...your my sister...no innue...you're not even supposed to know anything about that!"

Jess "Yeah, you're right, seeing how I'm only 9 years old. I forgot, sorry."

Nick "Oh, come on, you can't be mad at me for wanting to protect my sister."

Jess *snaps back* "From what? Humor and jokes?"

Nick *squints eyes* "You know exactly what I mean"

At this point we were just literally glaring at each other.

Now you should probably know that me and Nick don't have huge fights very often,I can literally count the amount of real fights we have had on one hand! BUT we do have quite a few of these little...I don't even know what they are really, and they do usually end just the way this one went.

We glared at each other for about 20 seconds.

Jess *tries hard not to smile but fails*

Nick "Ha! You lose! You smiled first! I win. No more jokes like that!"

Jess "You might have won this time and, fine, I'll try to keep it Disney for now but you just wait!"

Kevin *giggles* "I have always loved how you two settle things. Who else uses stare-downs to decide who wins the argument?"

Jess & Nick "It was NOT an argument!"

Kevin *crosses arms, raises eyebrows, smirks* "Really? Would you two like to argue that?"

Nick & Jess "Ugh!"

In music room

Jess *grabs her Ibanez from the rack, plugs it into the nearest amp, starts playing some random chord progressions, just freestyling*

Nick *raises eyebrows* "You certainly haven't forgotten how to play. *smiles* and your guitar there got some nice action."

Jess *grins* "Yeah, I'm loving it!....Oh, WAIT!" *puts guitar down, gets up, leaves room*

Nick *confused* "OK, then...."

Jess *comes running back with phone and charger in hand* "I totally forgot. *plugs phone into wall for it to charge* "What if G calls while we're playing and I miss it?! I would never hear it out in the familyroom!"
