The mint hair boy shot the ball through then hoop. He sighed and looked around the empty court. He noticed something in the trees, at the edge. A small bunny watching him. He looked back at the bunny in question. It continued to watch him. The bunny than looked down and nibbled some grass. Yoongi shook his head and turned dribbling the ball. He wiped sweat from his forehead. In the corner of his eye he saw the bunny again but closer. It was watching him, his head tilted and ears drooped. Yoongi bounced the ball and the bunny's eyes seemed to light up. Yoongi frowned, "You like watching basketball huh? That's the first I've seen a rabbit liking sport." The rabbit hopped closer and sniffed the ball. His nose scrunching up. His small paw reached out and touched the ball, moving it a small amount. If the bunny could it would be grinning at its small accomplishment. Yoongi sat cross legged in front of him and rolled it back toward the rabbit lightly. The bunny's paw again shoved the ball back to Yoongi. He smiled in amusement, "Not bad little guy, not bad." Yoongi heard his friend's voice. Hoseok ran toward them and shouted, "Hey Yoongi! What you doing?" The small rabbit moved behind Yoongi hiding himself and shaking. Hoseok looked at the scared rabbit, "Oh! I'm sorry I frightened you Mr Rabbit." Yoongi looked down at the rabbit and noticed how nervous he was. He put his hands out and the rabbit accepted and hopped onto the older boy's hands. Yoongi stood up, "Hey Hobi! Finished dance practice?" Hoseok nodded, "Yup and I see you've made a new friend." Yoongi nodded his head, "His name is Jungkook." The rabbit rubbed his head against Yoongi's chest as if to say he liked the name. Hoseok smiled, "Aw! Here little Kook, try a cookie." The rabbit sniffed and nibbled the cookie before practically devouring it. He sniffed for more. Hoseok giggled, "He likes them." Yoongi petted his head, "My little Jungkookie." Hoseok smirked, "Yours eh? I'm guessing you're keeping him. Thought you didn't want any animals in your home?" Yoongi shrugged, "Things change."
Yoongi opened the door to his small apartment. He looked around, "Well until tomorrow when I can get you stuff all I can offer are blankets and a pillow. I have food and milk or water. Whatever you prefer." Yoongi made the small rabbit a makeshift bed on his bed and placed the rabbit in the middle. He laid down in front of him and leaned his head on his arms, watching the small rabbit. Yoongi didn't notice the small bunny come closer and was sniffing him. Yoongi giggled as the bunny's whiskers tickled his cheek. The rabbit licked his nose, "Kookie that tickles." The rabbit snuggled up on the blanket beside the older. Yoongi soon found himself letting darkness surround him as sleep overtook him.

Jungkook watched as the mint hair boy slept. He wondered how long he had, before he had to leave. There were always signs. He would get aches in his body and it felt awful, like he was out of it. He would also shake a lot. He liked his name, Jungkook. No one had ever given him a name before. They usually just threw him out when he was unwanted. He wondered what the mint hair boy, Yoongi, would think. He wouldn't let him get the chance. He'd enjoy it while he could. The comfort of home and a new friend. Then he would leave.
Yoongi woke to see the rabbit again sniffing him. Yoongi shook his head amusedly, "You know I smell the same as yesterday, maybe just a little stinkier. I must take a shower anyway." He made sure the rabbit was okay before entering the shower. He came out in just a towel. The rabbit turned away from him, letting his ears droop to cover his eyes. Yoongi chuckled. He changed into tracksuit bottoms, a black t-shirt and covering his hair with a black beanie. He scooped up the rabbit and moved to the kitchen. He looked into the cupboards, "Hm, guess I must reconsider my eating habits now that I, we share a fridge." He pulled out rice cakes, "Hope you don't mind. I must go grocery shopping." Jungkook nibbled the cake in delight. He was just happy that someone cares enough to change their diet for him. Usually he would survive on grass and leaves or if he was lucky a carrot or two. They spend days in a simple routine. Yoongi would go to work while Jungkook stayed at the apartment. He would sleep mostly. It had been a long time since he slept so peacefully. Then they would eat together. Sometimes they went to the park and Yoongi would teach the rabbit easy basketball moves. Then they shared a bed. Jungkook enjoyed staying here. It felt like home. He fell asleep listening to Yoongi's soft snores. It was around 3am when he jolted awake. His bones were searing, they felt like they were on fire and he was shaking more than usual. It meant one thing. He didn't know what happened to the signs. He didn't have time. He rolled off the bed and hopped as much as he could towards the door. Yoongi woke up feeling something was wrong. He saw the rabbit, shaking uncontrollably. Yoongi panicked and got out the bed in lightning speed. He scooped the rabbit up, hugging him close, "Kookie what's wrong? What's happening?" The rabbit shook his small head and squirmed in the older's arms. Yoongi placed him on the bed, "I should call someone. Oh! But who do I call?" His bones began to bend and crack. Yoongi watched in terror and confusion. What the hell was going on? In a flash a boy replaced the rabbit. Ears still drooped down his head however. But instead of fur was soft skin. Instead of fur were soft curly brown locks. His eyes still a deep brown. The boy grabbed onto the blanket cocooning himself. It was than Yoongi realised the boy was naked. Said boy smiled at him nervously, "H-Hi Yoongi." Yoongi didn't know what to say. He threw the boy boxers and an oversized sweater, keeping his distance, "You can't be. The rabbit. No! No! No, no, no! Give me back my rabbit friend not some random boy." The boy frowned, "It's me Yoongi. I am Jungkook. Your um rabbit." Yoongi couldn't believe his eyes, "I d-don't understand. How?" Jungkook looked down, "I'm a hybrid. I was young when I lost my parents and sent to an orphanage. One night I was sleeping and I was woken when someone was carrying me. I was half asleep as they told me I would be going to a new home. Forgot to mention that my new home was a research unit. The orphanage were selling children. All the rest had failed. They injected me with some serums. Wanted to test if humans and animals could be one. I was a success. I was tested more until one night I escaped. I took refuge in the forest, until now." Yoongi couldn't grasp the situation, "I'm sorry I can't. I didn't. A rabbit is easy enough but a kid!" Jungkook mumbled, "I'm eighteen I'm not a kid." Yoongi just shook his head. Jungkook sighed, "It's okay. I can leave. I know it's not what you signed up for." Yoongi frowned, "Where will you stay?" Jungkook smiled sadly, "I have a friend, often lets me stay." Yoongi felt in his gut that something wasn't right as he watched the younger gather up small things. He felt his stomach twist and churn at the thought of him leaving. So he followed the boy. Convincing himself it was just to ensure the boy indeed had a place to stay. It wasn't like he was attached to the younger.
