Prompt: Prom

It was a given that they would go together. Right? After all they are boyfriends. Jungkook was certain he had mentioned that he more than liked the concept of being asked. He had dropped many hints and reminders of how close approaching prom was. He didn't care if it was anywhere near being romantic, he just wanted to be asked. He wouldn't have taken much notice except the fact prom was in less than a week away and his boyfriend hasn't uttered a word about it. He had everything he needed, his suit, ID, money and his phone. His parents had bought the ticket as a graduation gift.
When the weekend passed and nothing from his boyfriend he began to worry only slightly. Did Yoongi even want to go? The older wasn't really into this sort of thing so maybe not. Honestly neither was Jungkook but it would be the last get together of them all together so he decided why not. Taehyung and Jimin would also be going and he knew it won't be fun. The school was buzzing in excitement of the final week and teachers gave up trying to teach classes. Hence the reason he sat in conversation with his two best friends. Jimin was excitedly talking about the night to come. He turned to Jungkook expression curious, “I know how Tae was asked. He wouldn't shut up and swooning over the face that the Jung Hoseok asked him, however you haven't said a word. So spill. How did Yoongi ask? Was it romantic?” Jungkook let out a disappointed sigh, “He um, he hasn't asked me. We're boyfriends so I presume we are going together anyway, right?”

Jimin looked flabbergasted. He had been friends with Yoongi before the maknae had joined their group completing it. He was sure Yoongi would ask him. After all he had mentioned it a few times to him and how Jungkook liked the idea of being asked. Yet prom would be in five days. While Jungkook enquired about Hoseok, Jimin took the opportunity to get answers. He took out his phone messaging the older;

JM: You haven't asked him yet ?!?!?!?!?

His phone beeped seconds later indicating the older had replied. He would give him hell if he hadn't a good reason.

YG: What are you talking about Chim?
JM: Don't play dumb with me hyung! Why haven't you asked Kookie to prom yet? It's in five days and he doesn't know how to act. Whether you're going together!
YG: Okay okay. I know. Don't worry I have a plan. I need your help actually. Will you make sure he goes straight home today?
JM: Fine! Anything for Kookie. P.S - I always knew you were a closet romantic.
YG: Thanks Jimin. I mean it.

Jimin put his phone back into his pocket smiling. Jimin put his phone back into his pocket smiling. At least now he knew for sure that Yoongi wouldn't let the younger down. He had the biggest soft spot for him. Even before they dated. He had kept muttering to himself about baby bunnies and Jimin was positive it had something to do with Jungkook's smile.

Jungkook hummed as Jimin drove him home. He had offered and who was Jungkook to refuse the chance. Jimin waved at him as he got out the car, "See you tomorrow Kookie." He pulled away quickly as Jungkook turned to walk up his porch steps. He felt the exhaustion of the day take over. He made his way to his room. Upon opening the door his mouth literally dropped. There was Yoongi dressed in black jeans and a shirt. He was holding a bouquet and petals surrounded trailed from the door to Yoongi. His favourite. Yoongi smiled softly, "It's not much I know. I couldn't think of what to do. It's been stressing me a little. I know you love the idea of being asked so here goes."  He reached Jungkook in two strides pulling him inside the room. Faces so close Jungkook could feel his breath on his skin. Yoongi smiled at him, "Hi baby boy." Jungkook couldn't help but blush. He always did around the older. Even after all this time. He smiled slightly, "H-Hi."  Yoongi chuckled, "Even after all this time you're still so cute and shy. It's one of the things I adore about you. I've never been the sharing feelings type but something about you just throws that out the window. The first time I saw you I was screwed. You were hiding behind Jin as though you were afraid we'd eat you alive. When Jimin introduced you to everyone and you got to me. You smiled and ever since then my life took a turn. In your direction. I wanted, needed you around me. You have this effect on me like no one else. I love you so much and you're the only person I could show this side to. The only person I feel comfortable showing every part of me to. So Jungkook in return the least I could do is show you how much you mean to me. I know it's short notice but Jeon Jungkook make me the happiest person and go to prom with me?" Jungkook nodded his head enthusiastically, "Of course I will. That was so ... I love you so much too hyung. I can't believe .... that was ... thank you. For showing me you."

Jungkook was excited. He was all ready and waiting. Taehyung and Jimin beside him just as excited. Jimin had been asked by a boy named Taemin who he met at dance classes. Jungkook knew of him and he was a nice guy. Taehyung was more nervous. He had a crush on Hoseok since they entered freshman year. The older had helped him once and thus Taehyung took notice. He was a literal sunshine and would never hurt anyone. Much like Tae. Taehyung didn't think Hoseok knew he existed but here they were. He wished his friend the best tonight and hopes Hoseok would see the same things in Tae as he and Jimin did. Nothing but pure love. Of course in a  more than friends way. The doorbell rang and all three males eye's widened. Jimin was the most calm and got up to let their dates in. Taemin and Jimin deciding to wait in the kitchen. Hoseok gave Taehyung flowers kissing his cheeks. Taehyung in pure bliss and eyes no doubt sparkling. Jungkook didn't miss the blush on Hoseok's cheeks and knew soon there would be a new couple. When it was Yoongi's turn to enter Jungkook was stunned. He hadn't seen the older dress up to this extent and damn how he was glad. Yoongi looked breathtaking and not mention hot as hell. Yoongi also looked stunned. He handed Jungkook a bouquet of flowers. Once again his favourite. He kisses Jungkook's hands, "As always you look beautiful baby boy." Jungkook inwardly cursed his ability to blush at whenever the older complimented him. He smiled back, "As do you Yoongi-ah. I've never seen you in a suit before."  Yoongi's eyes held amusement, "Your reaction making me believe that you are right. Now as much as I'd love to keep staring at you we have a dance to attend."

And so began their night. Jungkook wasn't one for alcohol so kept with drinking water or coke. Yoongi had no more than three wanting to make sure he remembered the night. Taehyung and Hoseok didn't drink much either. They were hyper enough without it anyway. Jimin had a few but not enough to be out of it. Jungkook enjoyed every minute of it. The random dancing with all of them and the slow dances with Yoongi. When Big Bang came on he and Jimin had shot up and together in perfect sync and copy to the choreography. Yoongi watched with adoration at the sides along with Taemin, Tae and Hobi. Another reason he adored the younger. His love for music especially Big Bang. He looked so innocent and child like as he danced with Jimin. He was having fun and that's what mattered. He didn't regret coming one bit. When the song ended Jungkook sat beside him cheeks flushed. He grinned at Yoongi, "This is so much fun hyung. Thank you for asking me to be your date. It wouldn't be as fun or meaningful without you." In less than a second Yoongi had the younger pulled into a passionate kiss. Jungkook let out the softest moan. Yoongi stealing another quick kiss, "You're so fucking adorable I can't help myself around you."  They were interrupted by another Big Bang song. As Fantastic Baby blasted through the room everyone  was on the dance floor. When Jungkook looked at him with those wide doe eyes he knew he couldn't win and decided fuck it, why not. He joined them on the dance floor for once letting go and not giving a shit what others thought. They were all mostly too drunk to remember anyway.
