12 O'Clock blues

After the fight, everyone who was fast asleep was wide awake. Not moving but thinking about what just happened. Jason coughed breaking the silence.
"I'm wrong, and I know this." Percy said.
"Percy n-" Thaila attempted to make him feel better but was cut off.
"No, I am. It was wrong of me to not stop you from kissing me for the first time."
A look of sadness and anger came over her, a look Thalia did not look good with. They could hear thunder about a mile above them.
"What are you saying Percy?"
"No no no, I didn't mean it like I regret everything. I still love you. It's just the way it happened makes me regret how it ended between her and I"
Jason intervened between them.
"You need to fix this, now"
"It's too late tonight-"
"It's never too late for the people you care about"
Percy sat with this for a minute.
"Maybe you should feel bad, you hurt her Percy" Piper stated.
"And I do"
Everyone but Nico was stunned at this remark. He knew someone had to say it.
"Guys?" Nico said quietly.
"Yes?" In unison.
"Even though I can cause it whenever I want, and I see it all the time. I'm still afraid of death. It causes me to stay up just thinking of what it would actually feel like."
Leo was about to open his mouth, but Piper glared at him as if telling him 'if you do that, I will snap you'.
"We all know what happens, but it's actually happening is what startling to me."
Percy was confused about how this just came up randomly but went with it.
Reyna being the friend she is, let him fall asleep on his shoulder. Mouthing to the others "Don't tell Solace" while smiling.
"Jason said that he's occasionally afraid of heights" Piper teased.
Jason's face turned slightly pink.
"Every once and awhile I just think about when I'm flying, if it just stopped and how much it would hurt hitting the bottom"
"A classic Willie Coyote ending" Leo joked. Calypso covered her mouth laughing. Then everything turned to s serious tone.
"Percy I know first hand about someone breaking your heart, but I've forgiven it. She has not. It will take time, even forever for it to heal." Calypso stated looking sternly.
Percy nodded at her then looked down. "You're right, I can't just fix this immediately. I have to wait a while, maybe even keep my distance when I'm not being nice to her." Percy said with an accepting tone to it.
Percy being exhausted sat back down putting his arm around Thalia to reassure her. Then being the dork he is, he fell asleep along with everyone else. Everyone keeping their loved one close to make sure that something like this will not happen again within themselves.
