He hadn't seen Niall on school the next week, but he hadn't expected him to come. Liam had had contact over the phone with Niall's mother about how things were going with him. He couldn't help it, he was just worried.
Liam didn't knew why though... It wasn't just being worried. Not like feeling bad for someone because something bad had happend to him. He was thinking 24/7 about what could be going on and how he could help Niall.
Maura had told him she'd explain him sometime, but he doubted if that would ever happen. Perrie made sure Niall would get his homework as Liam had heard her talking to her classmate Harry that Niall was sleeping alot and probably would try to come to school next week again.
He didn't hear that on purpose... Not at all.
When he got home he turned on his pc and sat down after he had made himself a warm cup of tea. He couldn't really explain what he felt or what he thought.. or why he thought so and he was getting annoyed by it. Yes, Liam worried easily, but no, his students.. That was different. Ofcourse he'd ask if they were alright if they appeared to be sad, but he'd never end up thinking about it.
And for the boys, they got in a fight once in a while right? He didn't even bother to ask them about it. But Niall had been different. He hadn't been talking big about it. He had looked troubled and that was what got to Liam. Niall always looked trouble. No matter how hard he laughed, there was something about his expression that told him there was something wrong.
He'd find out whatever was going on and he was going to help him.
Niall stared out of the window. He was bored, all week already and he couldn't be more happy his dad was out of a bussiness trip for 2 weeks. Otherwise he hadn't even been able to stay home, which probably would have caused more trouble.
He had had alot of contact with Perrie over phone, which he liked. She didn't knew what truly happend. She even came over twice to bring him his homework and chat a bit. When she had noticed Niall was uncomfortable telling what had happend she had stopped asking about it, which Niall was very gratefull for.
He would go to school again tomorrow.. He was having a double feeling about seeing his teacher again. He was defenitly going to thank him. He grabbed his phone and texted Perrie.
To Perrie: Heey, do you have any free hours tomorrow? xx
From Perrie: Yes! You forgot my school schedule after a week already?!
To Perrie: I guess so... Shame on me! ):
From Perrie: That's for sure! I've got a free 3rd period just like you. In fact I do remember (;
To Perrie: So I see you in the music classroom?
From Perrie: But ofcourse Mister Blondie!
To Perrie: Not that nickname again ._.
From Perrie: You'll get used to it someday!
To Perrie: NEVER!
He laughed softly reading the conversation as he moved to his laptop. Maybe he could finish some homework already. It wasn't like he had anything better to do.
The next day Niall arrived on school for 2 hours of maths in the morning. He wasn't as bothered by it as before, because well, atleast Mister Payne was nice. More then nice actually. Niall didn't think any teacher would tutor him at home in his free time and most of that, help his beaten up student when it's not even school time.
Niall hadn't been able to get his teacher out of his head and he didn't knew why. Wasn't he just like any other teacher? Well, Niall could tell he was different. More... Caring? That must be it, but hell, Perrie was caring too and she wasn't on his mind 24/7 now, was she?
He sighed as he walked to the maths class. He ran in early, but his teacher was already there. "Just come in Niall." Mister Payne said. Niall smiled slightly as he stepped inside the classroom. "I uhm.. wanted to thank you for last week.." "That's fine." He smiled warmly and Niall had to admit he felt his heart flutter.
Wait? What? Why?! He sighed softly as he sat down where he and Perrie always sat during this class. "Did you understand the homework?" His teacher asked. Niall bit his lip and shook his head no. "I tried though, but really, I just don't get it.." Liam was thinking. The test was a week away and the school would close early today.
"How about you come to my place tonight?" He asked. Niall looked up. His teacher asked him over? Liam never took a student home, because well, he had never been really comfortable with it, but he wasn't sure wether it was a good idea to go to Niall's again.
"Okay.." Niall said soft. That was fine right? It wasn't like anything would happen. By that Mister Payne was a really nice person and Niall sorta trusted him. "What time?" "8 o'clock?" "I'll be there." "Good." Liam smiled slightly as a view other students walked in.
Niall didn't knew why, but he was looking forward to the study session.
