I got out of dad's Limo and turned back to them... Mom and June were seated in the back. They looked so pale
Come on,  I'm only gone for a year or two
If I can stay that long...

Dad came to my side and motioned for me to follow him
I blew an air kiss to mom and just when I was about to walk away with dad,  June ran and hugged my legs from behind
Well, she caught me off guard...
Luckily, I didn't fall cause that'll surely be embarrassing...
I turned around and carried her
I spun her around and around cause she loved that...

I hugged her tight
Gosh,  I'm sure gonna miss her

"Welcome to Cadence High. We are so happy to receive such a prim and beautiful lady such as you" I blushed at that and she smiled back
"Thank you miss... " I stared at her name tag a while, "... Miss Phil"
"Please take a seat in the lounge. The Principal would attend to you two in a moment" she directed that at dad and he nodded his head in approval

The school actually wasn't that bad
My dad chose one of the best boarding schools down in Manhattan and I just hope I can have a normal,  stress-free boarding school experience

I walked into my dorm and saw a girl making out with her boyfriend,  I think.
Well,  who would've known this school was for both male and female...

I cleared my throat and they split up
The girl didn't seem to care
"Talk about invading privacy" she spat out
"I'm s-sorry but umm... we happen to share this room... I didn't think anyone would be in here. I'm soo soo sorry for interrupting.. I could leave if you want me to" I reasoned with her
She rolled her eyes at me, "Do I really have to have a geek like you as a room mate?" She looked at me with disgust, "Jeremy,  let's go to your place" She sashayed away with the Jeremy guy tailing close behind her
I shook my head and dropped my bags

I spent the rest of the day arranging my side of the dorm
I made sure not to go near her space
Oh wait... I don't even know her name... Mhm

I got bored after a while and went downstairs. I didn't know exactly where I was going since I had no friends... Yet

As I went down the stairs a clumsy girl bumped right into me, dropping the stack of books she held
We both bent down to pick it and she kept apologising
"I'm soo soo sorry Miss... I was just in a rush... I truly am... Sorry for bumping into you... Today was just soo hectic... It always is... " she blabbered
"It's alright" We got up,  "I'm May Hamilton. You?"
"Melody Vangresha" she replied,  fixing her glasses on her freckled face
"Nice name. Well,  I'm new here and I have zero friends so if there's any way I could help you... Because I'm dying outta boredom" I chuckled
"Sure... Just tag along I guess" She led me to he library and discarded off the bundle of books she held

She then led me to her dorm. Looks like she lived there alone... No newbies I guess
"My room's a mess. So so sorry" she apologised
I chuckled, "I honestly don't mind Melo- I can call you that right?"
She smiled in a way that she showed all her teeth,  "No one has ever given me a nickname. I don't even have friends... Never did. Never will" Her smile faded as fast as it came
"No no no.  Don't say that M,  You have me" I smiled at her, genuinely

I mean, don't get me wrong... there's a lot of beauty behind all that grease and messy hair and it's just my mission to bring that all out

"I'm glad I do" Just then the bell rang." Well come along May,  we have prep"
I didn't know what that was but I just ran along with her

We got to class just in time and took our seats. Just then the girl from earlier modelled in and her fragrance immediately filled the hall. Boys ogled at her and girls stared at her with envy.
She sat on the lap on Mr. Perfect (I actually don't know him. All I know is that his blue eyes are just beautiful and his skin looked so graceful. His hair was groomed to perfection and he wore a  football jacket) and kissed him so passionately. We all just stared like young teenagers at a 3D cinema
"Get used to this. She does this to the most popular guys everyday" Melo whispered

Well, one thing I just verified is... Jeremy isn't her boyfriend
That is... If she has one

I fell onto my bed,  exhausted from all the reading I had to do instead of doing normal prep because I had no homework to do
I didn't actually read. I couldn't
My mind kept wandering off to the make out session I had with Nick before leaving home

I was confused. Why did he kiss me with so much intensity?  I didn't want to get my hopes up
I know he would never crush on me...
But his kisses felt so genuine... So real

I felt around for the necklace Nick had given to me and smiled.
Just then,  the door flew open and my roommate came right in... Well not exactly.
She was in the arms of the guy from Prep.
Mr. Perfect.

She saw me stare at them and rolled her eyes at me.
Mr. Perfect noticed me too and laid her down on her bed
She tugged at his shirt, trying to get him to kiss her. But he just stared at me
I blushed and he smiled

"Ethan!" She nudged
Oh so his name's Ethan huh?
*smirk * nice
He snapped at her, "You brought me in here knowing full well that you had a roommate. How do I f*ck you with her in here?" He backed away,  "Nah uh. Not gonna happen"
He walked off and she snapped her head at me

Woah woah woaah!  Don't look at me now. Not my fault I ended up in the same room with you. And vice versa.

She got off her bed and walked towards me
"What the fuck are you doing in here?" She fumed
I stared at her.
"Ugh. Do you f*****g know how f*****g long I took to f*****g get him here???"
I still didn't speak and that made her even  angry
She laughed. Not a good sign "Oh so now you can't speak ehh??  Bitch. You so do not belong here at C. H and I'm gonna make you beg your dad to get you out of this school. You can bet your blings on it" she spat and modelled out
I was speechless
I hadn't done anything
Eeesh... This is gonna be a really long term...
And did I say I wanted a normal,  stress-free school experience?  Cause, seems like the heavens (or should I say the Devil herself) has something totally different planned out for me
