Shopping with my brother and my mate is definitely interesting. Dominic is was constatly switching between the two languages. At one point he was speaking Italian to me and English to Aleaha. We both just gave him some funny looks. Then he realized that he screwed up. We hit this one street that had markets all up and down.
Dustin and I found some really cute things for the baby. I got a couple onsies and a yellow ducky blanket. Dustin found some little shoes. Dustin was all over the baby stuff. He wanted to buy everything. The girls all wanted to buy stuff for the baby but we haven't figure out what we're having so they settled on buying stuff for themselves. Alex and Mary hide from each other the entire trip.
We started to walk back home, Mary was walking up ahead and Alex was behind us.
"Honey I'm going to walk with Alex." I told Dustin. He nodded.
I hung back a little bit and looped my arm with Alex's.
"Hey sweet pea. How are you doing?"
"Okay. It's still alot to take in right now."
"Yeah I bet. But you and Dustin seem to be taking it well."
"Yeah I guess. We haven't discussed what's going to happen after all of this. I still want to go to college and get my degree."
"Emma you're having a baby. College seems a little out of the question doesn't it."
"I don't know. Sometimes I wish I'd never gone to Rebecca's party. Then I would have never got pregnant and Dustin and I would be a normal couple."
"Yeah but we all know that you're going to be a great mother. This baby is lucky."
"I guess. So what's going on with you and Mary?"
"Oh. She wants to leave me and go back to college."
"Alexander Ray Blake, she does not want to leave you! Quit acting like a jerk."
"She went and applied at that school in Boston that she loved so much when she toured schools."
"So, It's just Boston that's like a plane ride away or a really cool road trip away. She won't be gone for forever.It's school. Let her enjoy the time she has before you guys settle down and have a family. Look at Dustin and I, in less then five months we will have to get up every couple of hours, changing diapers, burping and feeding. We won't get any sleep, and our lives won't be our lives anymore. She really does love you Alex. Remember that you only get one mate so don't screw it up." I went and joined Dustin again.
"How do you think it went?" Dustin asked.
"I don't know. I hope he pulls his head out of his butt. She's a great person and her going to college shouldn't stop them from being together."
"No it shouldn't. What about you? Do you want to go to college after the baby is born?"
"Kind of. But what about you and the rodeo? I don't want you to have to give that up just because we're having a baby."
"Emma, I don't have to be a daredevil anymore. I have you and a baby to worry about. You deserve to enjoy your life too."
"Yeah but we have a baby to focus on. I think college can wait until after we figure out what to do with the danger back home."
"We'll figure it out. I promise that we will get back to normal. Normal enough for you and the baby. I promise sweetheart."
We walked back to the house. Something seemed different. All the pack members were on edge. I couldn't understand and then I saw the counsel waiting for us.
"They're not supposed to be here until tomorrow I thought." I whispered to Dustin.
"That's what they told Dominic. I can't believe they're here early." Dustin said.
"Good Afternoon Counselor Hanson. We weren't excepting anybody from the counsel until tomorrow." Dominic said.
"We have to talk about your step mom and sister now. Valco knows she's here and he coming here for her. We need to figure out what we're going to do. We need to protect them."
