Some Universe

I hide in a cave I made myself

From books that used to line the shelves

Paper dreams are crumbled into balls

And thrown in to hollow empty halls

Then came you

What could I do

You helped make a world I couldn't create

Turned nothing into a beautiful space

I can't bring myself to say what I meant

But I hope you feel what I do too instead

The world keeps on turning

In some kind of universe

And who could stop it turning

From simply running and becoming

It was you

In some kind of universe

And everything breaks my heart

And I don't know where to start

The universe we've made is infinite

And leaving is the hardest part

But this is our home

So I'm not alone

The universe without you

Becomes an old black hole

It remembers all the fun we had

And all the things we said

Our stars collapse into black holes

But I hope it's still in your head

You and I are in suspension

Completely invisible to anyone's eyes

But for now we have our universe

And infinite beautiful skies
