I don't own PJO, HOO, or HP
Percy POV
The last few days before hogwarts are spent mostly in my room at the burrow looking at pictures, thinking, and trying not to fall asleep. For once I'm looking forward going to school. It'll give me something to do. Less time to think.
Finally the day comes to board the Hogwarts express. We all go to King's cross station, but I don't see a platform labeled 'Hogwarts'.
"We're going to platform 9 3/4." Hermione explains sensing my confusion.
"Last I checked, there isn't such thing." I reply smartly.
"Sure." Hermione says sarcastically. She points to a wall between nine and ten. "You see that? Run through it, and you'll get to 9 3/4." She says.
"That sounds very believable. I just think you want to see me run into a brick wall." I say.
"Fine. I'll show you." Hermione runs with her trunk through the wall. I blink. She actually did run through a solid, brick wall.
"Come on, Percy." Ginny laughs nudging me forward. I take a deep breath, and sprint at the wall. I close my eyes and brace myself for impact, but don't feel anything. I cautiously open one eye, and see that I'm in an enormous room, labeled 9 3/4.
"Wow." I whisper. On the tracks is a red train, sparkling under the lamps hanging from the ceiling. On the front it says 'Hogwarts Express' in big capital letters.
Everyone else pours out from the wall, and we head to the train.
I'm in a compartment with Harry, Ron, Hermione, and Ginny. I don't think they necessarily want me in here, I think they want to talk about me amongst themselves, but I can't have them finding out about my 'little secret'.
Most of the train ride is consumed by awkward silence, or speaking in hushed tones. Well that is until Draco Malfoy entered the compartment.
"What do you want Malfoy?" Ron asks.
"Nothing with you, Weasley." Draco growls.
"Then what is it?" Harry says, standing up and advancing towards him.
"I need to talk to..." Malfoy looks embarrassed. Then he clears his throat. "I need to speak with Jackson."
"What do you need with my cousin, Draco?" Harry asks menacingly.
"Harry, it's fine." I cut in. "Let's go." We walk out of the small room, and into an empty one a few seats over.
"So..." I start. "Shoot."
"Well, my father gave me this." Draco says, pulling a dagger out of his boot. The blade is made of celestial bronze, and The hilt is decorated with green gems, and a silver snake.
"And what's the problem?" I ask.
"I, umm... I don't know how to use it." The son of Ares looks down.
"I can teach you if you want." I suggest shrugging my shoulders.
Draco's eyes light up like a kid in a candy shop. "Really?"
"Yup." I reply simply.
"Cool." He grins.
"You should smile more often." I comment. "It suits you."
"You should too." Draco says.
"Believe me if I could, I would."

We finally reach Hogwarts after hours on the train.
As we get off, I'm told to go with this guy named Hagrid. Apparently he's a half giant. The wizarding kind, not Greek thankfully.
He seems nice enough from the outside. As I approach him, he smiles and waves at me. We shake hands as I reach him.
"Hagrid. Rubeus Hagrid. Keeper of keys at Hogwarts." He introduces.
"I'm Percy Jackson, but you probably already know that." Hagrid gives a chuckle at that.
"Well yer comings ter the boats with me." He explains. Then we head off to the boats.
As we ride in the wooden row boats, I stare at the lake, glowing under the soft moonlight. I can hear the fish from under the body of water saying hello lord! And stuff like that.
When the castle view becomes clearer, all I can think about is Annabeth. Gods, she would've loved the architecture. She would be going on about the towers and...
"Come on out Percy, we're here." I walk out of the boat, and follow all the first years into the castle.
We are all waiting right outside the great hall. A lot of the kids are talking in clumps. They all have worried looks on their faces. All I do is wait in the corner awkwardly.
"Attention!" An older looking woman comes to us through the big doors. "I want all of you in a single file line. Mr Jackson, you go in the back." I do as she says, and march into the hall of the great. I look straightforward as we walk past the tables.
At the front of the room is a worn out hat on a wooden stool.
"Welcome to another year at Hogwarts school of Witchcraft and Wizardry." An old guy with a beard announces. "After the sorting, I have a very important announcement. Minerva, you may begin."
"Yes, first we have..." McGonagle starts. I zone out after that. Until I hear:
"Perseus Jackson, if I have to say your name one more time..."
"Coming!" I say. I trip on my way up, and everyone laughs. I stand up, face red as a tomato. Then I sit down on the stool as the hat is placed on my head.
Why hello, Percy Jackson. I've heard lots about you.
And I've heard close to nothing about you, Mr...?
OMG no one ever asks MY name. I'm always just "The sorting hat". I like you already. (AN yes I just dropped a Grandson of Voldemort reference on you :p )
Umm...ok Then.
You remind me of Harry Potter. Lots of similarities between you two.
Well we are cousins.
Oh, right. Anyway. Now I need to look into your memories.
I stiffen.
No.
I must. Sorry, Percy.
The memories flash in front of me. From my first quest to Tartarus, to the giant war. It's all there. I almost get sucked into a flashback, but stop myself.
"Ah!!! Your memories!" The hat screams aloud.
"Enough. " I say.
"Gryffindor!" The hat yells. I chuck the hat at the ground, and walk over to the Gryffindor table, and everyone stares at me.
Well. This is going to be an interesting year.
