Harry POV

Percy didn't return to the common room till late tonight. His forehead was drenched in sweat, and dark bags under his eyes. All his movements were slow and labored. He sighs as he collapsed on one of the chairs.

I raise an eyebrow.

Percy doesn't reply. He seems to be somewhere else as he stares into the fire, face lit up by the rising red and orange flames. I try again.

"Where have you been?" I inquire cautiously, intertwining my fingers in front of me. His gaze breaks from the fire, and turns to me.

"I had to take an... extra lesson with Snape." He says.

I decide that its safe to probe deeper. "What for?"

Percy hesitates. "Occlumency. Supposed to... keep certain people out of my head." A memory flashes through my head. Percy bound in chains. Someone coming at him with a knife. Blood dripping from cuts and slashes all over, red staining the stone.

The monster in the dream. The new scars constantly showing up on his person. He was trying to keep that monstrosity out of his nightmares. I choose not to tell him my sudden realization, for fear it may reawaken old memories.

The familiar sharp pain in my scar returned, and I clutched my head in angst. Percy winces.

"Scar hurting again?" He asks. I nod. His face darkens. "That usually happens when you're around me... doesn't it?" I look down. Percy's face is suddenly overcome with guilt, and his eyes return to the fire. "You know.... I might just crash over here tonight. The fire's pretty nice."

"Percy you don't have to-"

"Seriously man, its fine. I'm not really in the mood for dreams anyways." I'm too tired to argue, and just nod, and head upstairs.

A sudden thought shocks me, and I turn to face Percy. "Good luck on the task tomorrow, Percy."

He raises an eyebrow. "That's tomorrow?" I nod again. "Wow. Who knew?" I roll my eyes.

"Good night, Percy." I finally say, and yawn as I head up the stairs. The pain in my scar slowly diminishes, and I nearly forget about it by the time I reach my bed. I slowly and carefully dress in my pajamas, careful not to disturb any of the sleeping wizards in my dorm. I slide under the covers, letting the soft fabric coax me into a deep sleep.

I wake up, covered in cold sweat. I had another one of Percy's dreams. All of them were pretty bad, but this was the worst one.

I saw six teenagers. 5 about his age, and the last one a bit younger than me. They all died tragic deaths at the hands of horrifying monsters. Percy seemed especially torn up about the last one. A girl I had seen in a few other dreams.

She had curly blond hair, and intelligent grey eyes. Percy was sobbing over her body. Then he turned to the earth-woman, and killed her.

I ran my fingers through my hair. I should probably go check on Percy. I didn't know if he was having the same dream. Besides, I had some questions for him.

How much had he been keeping from me?

I soon found myself in the common room, the only light source being the fire. I saw Percy's shadow reflecting on the wall, and approach him. I see him still wide awake, and staring into nothing.

"Hey." I greet, causing Percy to jolt out of his trance, and he nearly falls out of his chair.

"Hello Harry. What are you doing up?" He asks suspiciously, eyes narrowing a fraction.
