Wedding Day

A month later...

Today is my wedding day. I'm going to marry Nik.

"Are you ready," Rebekah asks as she finishes up my hair.

"I-I don't know," I stutter. I turn to her, a horrified expression on my face, "Rebekah, what if I fall and everyone laughs or what if Nik changes his mind."

"Okay, everything is going to be okay. I am positive Nik wants to marry you, he literally would not shut up about it this morning," she says, "and Elijah-"

The door opens revealing Elijah in a black suit. "Did someone call me," he asks.

"The bride is having a panic attack," Rebekah says.

Elijah walks over to me and puts his hands on my shoulders. "It's going to be alright, I'll walk you down the aisle with you," he reassures me.

I take a deep breath an close my eyes. "Okay, just...don't let me trip, please," I say.

He laughs, "I won't let you trip."

I smile, "thanks Elijah," I say and turn to Rebekah, "let's do this thing."

She laughs and puts a veil over my face.

I'm wearing a white strapless silk gown with a long white veil. Rebekah curled my hair and let it hang down my back in a halo braid. I have red roses in my hand that are beautiful.

I turn to the door and take a couple deep breaths until I feel light headed.

"Okay, I'm ready," I say and Elijah links his arms with mine.

We walk out of the room and end up walking down the aisle. I look at the crowd whose eyes are all on me and then Nik, who is standing at the end of the aisle wearing a white suit. I get butterflies in my stomach, or maybe it's the baby kicking, I don't know. I feel light headed, like I'll faint any moment. I whimper and Elijah pats my arm.

"It'll all be over soon," he whispers.

When we finally get to the end of the aisle, Elijah gives me over to Nik. He smile warmly at me and I blush a little. I'm not as nervous anymore, just a little weak in the knees.

The whole ceremony is long but very romantic. I can't stop smiling at all. When the Preist or whatever says 'you may kiss the bride' Nik wastes no time in pulling me into him and kissing me. I can tell he wasn't planning on stopping, so I break the kiss. People cheer and I blush.

I don't know half of these people but it's nice to have people cheering for you at your own wedding. Though I hate being center of attention. Nik and I walk down the aisle again and out through the large double doors into the dinning hall. Everything is white with rose petals. Nik never let me see. The venue, he said it was a surprise. I'm very surprised.

"This is amazing Nik," I say with a huge smile.

"I knew you'd like it," he says with a smirk as we sit at the table meant for the bride and groom.

"You know me so well," I say with a blush.

Everyone comes into the dinning hall taking their seats, talking, laughing, flirting even.

"Yes I do, because you are my beautiful wife," he says with a bright smile.

I giggle, "my amazing husband," I say and put my hands to my cheeks, "this is so...brilliant."

He laughs and puts and arm around my waist, "I can't wait to be alone with you on an island," he says and I blush.

"Remember, I'm still pregnant," I remind him.

"That doesn't change anything," he says with a smirk.

People settle down and Elijah taps his champagne glass with a fork to get everyone's attention. Everyone falls quiet and wait for Elijah to speak.

"You all know my brother, the cunning, manipulative, murderous, sadistic man. You can imagine my surprise when he walks through the front door of our home with a human," he starts off, "as I've gotten to know her, she seemed to be an amazing woman, just right for my brother Nicklaus. She brings out the best in him. That's why I'm so invested in seeing Florence as a part of our family." He holds up his glass, "to family and forever."

Everyone raises their glasses. "To family and forever," everyone in the room repeats.

I smile brightly and nudge Nik. He claps his hands and takes a sip of his champagne.

I take my champagne and go to drink it, but Nik takes the glass away from me.

I whine, "Nik, my champagne."

"No drinking for my pregnant wife," he says and gulps it down.

"That's not fair," I say and he smirks.

"You don't want to harm the baby, do you," he asks.

I sigh in defeat, "no, I don't want to harm our baby," I say.

He pulls me into his chest, "I still love you," he says in my ear.

"I love you," I say back and giggle.

Then, out of nowhere, he starts to tickle me.

"Nik, stop it," I laugh loudly.

He laughs too and kisses my cheek.

"That's not funny, putting your wife in distress like that," I poke him in the chest.

"I thought you liked that," he asks and puts a hand on my knee.

I look up into his eyes and giggle.

"What," he asks in confusion.

"Nothing," I shake my head.

"Come on, I'm curious, tell me," he begs.

"I was just thinking about you being a father. I can't wait to find out," I say.

"I will freak out in front of all these people if you say I'm going to be a father," he says with a smile.

I open my mouth, challenging him.

"Don't say it," he says, "I'll get too excited."

I laugh at him as he covers up his ears.

"You are so silly Nik," I say and punch his shoulder.

We both laugh non stop for the whole thing, only stopping when people come up to congratulate us or set down their gifts.

After the wedding, everyone sends us off and we go to the airport. We get on a plane to the Virgin Islands.

I'll admit, Nik was right to suggest we go here. Everything is so exotic but modern. I feel like a million dollars when we walk into our little house.

"How do you like it so far," he asks, hope in his eyes.

"More than amazing," I say and sit on one of the couches.

"I'm so glad you like it," he says and sits next to me.

After a minute I get really bored. "What now," I ask, looking at him.

He smirks and leans in to kiss me.

And that's how our honeymoon goes, we stay in the bedroom most of the time, only leaving to eat, use the restroom, and the only time we shower is together. My baby bump is just showing when the honeymoon is over.
