Seven: Midoriya versus Bakugou

When we made it into the monitoring room, I glanced around for Hakai but she's not here. I can only assume she's on one of teams on the battlefield now.

'So it's Iida and Loudmouth versus Midoriya and Uraraka. I wonder which side Hakai is on.'

"Alright! Let's begin the indoor combat training! Team A and team D, your time starts now!" All Might shouts over the intercom. "Pay attention kids. Think about what you would do." He instructs us as we all stare at the screen.

Midoriya and Uraraka come in through a window and start roaming the halls, but I haven't seen the others yet.

'Does that mean Hakai is with the villains?'

All of a sudden, Bakugou jumps out from behind a corner and throws a punch at Midoriya. The screen blacks out for a moment because of dust, but when it cleared, Bakugou was standing over the two heroes who were on the ground. Half of Midoriya's mask was gone, and his hair was bursting out of his suit.

"He almost got the jump on him!"

"Sneak attack Bakugou?! What kinda man pulls cheap crap like that?!" Eijirou asks punching his palm. He seemed quite upset at how Bakugou attacked.

"It's a liable strategy. He's playing the part, acting like a true villain." All Might says.

"It didn't work! Midoriya dodged it!" Mina says. Out of the corner of my eye I see Hakai behind Bakugou.

"Wait, is she on Bakugou's team?" Kaminari asks surprised.

"Looks like it." I reply.

Bakugou then starts running at Midoriya with a readied fist, but he almost seems ready for the attack. Midoriya runs up and grabs Bakugou's arm, swinging him over his shoulder and slamming him down on his back.

"Woah!"

"Who is Bakugou talking to?" Eijirou asks. "I'm not hearing anything. Can we get any sound with this video?"

"He's got a radio in his ear so he can talk to his partners." All Might says pointing to a blue light in his own ear. "I gave it to him before the match started as well as a map of the building. Also this. A roll of capture tape. Wrapping this around your opponent means you've apprehended them and they're out for the rest of the game. "

"So, there's a fifteen minute time limit and the good guys have no idea where the nuclear weapon is." Mina points out.

"Don't forget the villains have an extra teammate." I add.

"Correct!" All Might says.

"Then the heroes are at a disadvantage here. A big one."

"Real pros have to outwit villains on the daily basis. That's life." 'Deep stuff All Might.' "Even if the odds aren't in our favor, we fight!"

Eijirou chuckles at our teacher.

"ALL TOGETHER!"

"Let's hear it Plus Ultra!" The class shouts with a raised fist.

We all look back at the screens to see Bakugou throw a kick and another punch at Midoriya while Uraraka and Hakai run off.

"Where are they going?" I wonder aloud.

Bakugou puts his open palms facing behind him and Midoriya runs off, leaving Bakugou fuming. On another screen I see Hakai running back and slamming right into Midoriya. They look at each other and start running down the hallway.

"What are they doing? Why won't they fight?" Eijirou asked confused.

"Maybe they're both running from Bakugou," Kaminari suggests.

"I don't blame them. He's got some real anger issues. It's kinda scary." Mina says.

When they stop running they look at each other without breathing a word. They both pull out their capture tape and practically wrestle to beat each other. Kicks and punches were thrown, tape went everywhere, but right before Hakai could successfully capture Midoriya, Bakugou comes in with a huge attack. I'm surprised he didn't accidentally hit Hakai. Suddenly a big grin spreads across his face and he lifts his right gauntlet up.

'It would be so much easier to understand them if we could hear what they're saying.'

Shaking, Midoriya lifts his capture tape up, still trying to show a brave face as he went against a fuming Bakugou.

'I doubt he'll let Hakai do anything.'

Bakugou pulls back the handle on one of his gauntlets and shows a small pin as he's shouting.

'I have a bad feeling that this won't end well.'

What happens next surprises me more than anything.

Bakugou releases the pin and sends a huge blast toward Midoriya. Hakai runs and shoves him out of the way before the blast can reach him and she sticks her hands right into the explosion. The blast was so powerful that even after her quirk dispersed some of it, she was blasted out of the second floor and landed on the ground hard.

"Oh my god!" I shout with a hand over my mouth.

"Is she alright?" Eijirou asks.

"We need a medic down there stat!" All Might shouts into a radio. "Hurry!"

I didn't even focus on the rest of the fight. I was to busy worrying about my friend being rolled away to the nurse.

"The hero team...WINS!" All Might shouts.

I look up to see Midoriya on the ground with an angry Bakugou standing over him. On another screen Uraraka is hanging onto the nuclear weapon while Iida is sulking.

'Hakai will be alright. Recovery Girl is helping her.' The thought of it relieved me enough to enjoy the time. Now we can watch some more battles.
