There was an instance where the two of them were leaving the practice studio with one another. Jungkook having both his arms onto one of Hoseok's, Hoseok holding his arm close so Jungkook was close to him too. Because Hoseok knew Jungkook needed to know that there was still people who cared about him.
Because Jungkook thought of himself as nothing else as careless,idiotic, and overall a something they could toss in the trash and forget about. He wasn't but he didn't have the strength to prove himself wrong.
It wouldn't have been very noteworthy night if Hoseok hadn't felt Jungkook stiffen up. Hadn't seen Jungkooks eyes swell with tears. Hadn't felt Jungkook hide himself in the crook of Hoseok's shoulder.
"What's wrong?"
Jungkook was a mess of shaky breaths and small sobs which made it difficult for him to talk but he managed.
"He's still happy. I haven't been talking to him or anything and he's still happy. I'm not happy but he is, and God I sound so stupid."
