The wind started to pick up. Jungkook's hoodie no longer provided the right amount of warmth. The sun was moments away from starting to fade and Hoseok had just dropped the last box over to where Jungkook was standing by the railing.
"Jungkook I had this enitre romantic speech planed out-"
Jungkook interrupted with an amused grin on his face.
"More romantic than the rooftop balloon extravaganza?"
Hoseok nodded vigorously with a look a of seriousness placed on his face.
"More romantic than the rooftop balloon extravaganza, but Im ditching the speech. Look I like you a lot and you know things about me that know one else does. One of those things is the fact that I used to be in love with one of our best friends."
Jungkook felt his body tense together at the mention of Hoseok's past love for Yoongi. Jungkook was young and his experiences with boyfriends and girlfriends and crush's had always ended badly. He wanted to trust that Hoseok wouldn't fall in love with Yoongi again but they all lived together, they all practiced and hung out together. With such close proximity Jungkook had always managed to worry that Hoseok would fall back into his old habits.
"I want you to know that that part of my life is over."
Hoseok opened up one of the boxes and dumped all of its contents out over into the abyss above the street.
Jungkook gasped and turned to look at Hoseok with a confused expression.
"You're just going to give all that up? Werent you saving these? Hoseok you just can't toss them!"
Jungkook didn't know what was getting him so worked up about Hoseok throwing the tons and tons of flower petals over the side of the roof. But he was soon silenced at the sight they created.
The sun was setting which made the sky pink and orange with streaks of yellow running through the clouds. The flower petals would twirl in the gusts of wind, very few of the flowers had actually landed down below with the strong winds pushing them back up.
Hoseok had the last box in his hands and there was no hesitation as he dumped its content over the roof.
"Hoseok,"
Jungkook put his hands into Hoseoks t-shirt and laid his head against Hoseoks chest. They stood there like this watching the flowers fade into darkness as the sun started to disappear.
When all the sun had faded, when all the flowers where gone, Hoseok felt his shirt began to be soaked in tears.
"Jungkook? What's wrong?"
Hoseok had trouble distinguishing the others face. The sky was a million different shades of blue which created odd shadows on every surface under the sky.
"It's just your so over the top and I never thought that I would get something like this. And you're too nice and you're too good for me."
Jungkook ended off his last sentence with a light chuckle but Hoseok hadn't taken that lightly.
"I am not too good for you. Please don't think like that."
Jungkook only nodded and tried to bury his head further into the side of Hoseoks neck. Hoseok felt Jungkook shiver and decided it was time to head back home.
