Hoseok was very aware of what was forming between him and Jungkook. He didn't want to be stuck hunched over in bathrooms coughing up blotches of blood and petals.
That was something Hoseok was more than grateful for. Jungkook's attacks weren't as painful as his own had been. Yes , he understood Jungkook was in pain and that should be acknowledged and it was. It was acknowledged more than Hoseok would like to admit.
But Jungkook didn't cough up blood, he didn't have thorns prickle the inside of his throat and his gums. Hoseok thanked the stars in the sky every night for that. It was too much already for Hoseok to handle.
All Hoseok wanted was to feel free. Jungkook made him feel free. Because even though Jungkook was going through so much he still listened to Hoseok, he still payed attention to Hoseok, he still cared about Hoseok.
The question here was when would Jungkook notice the water starting to boil.
