We didn't start with a kiss
We began with unheard words
That turned into questions
Then answers
Then actions
You left marks on my neck
My shoulder
My arm
My thighs
You've explored all of me
With clothes on
Those memories take my breath
And make me restless
You did that today
When I curled up with you
Traced up my leg
Grabbing my inner thigh
I swallowed what I wanted to say
And smiled instead
I wanted to dig into your neck
And hear your quiet satisfaction
But we weren't alone
So I ran my hand through
Your hair instead
Walking away
You apologized
And pulled my hair
Extracting a gasp for more
And we watched the other leave
I felt empty
Always wanting more as I warned
I become selfish
In my mind I imagine what I need
And never tell you
About my urge to throw inhibitions
And make sure you know
Just how much control it takes
Not to give in to the lust for
Your hands on my bare skin
By showing you what it does to me
You already know this
I'm a broken record
Yet no matter how many times
You whisper the same words
My breath always catches
As I wait to see if I come on top
Of priorities
But we still see we aren't allowed
Promise we'll find a way
And watch time fall away
What a sad existence
Waiting for you to find me
And waiting for my heart to stop
Simultaneously
No I won't see you leave
I can't stand to be alone again
So show me I'm not
For a night
Take a shot of something strong
Because I'm too weak
To say what I need to
We started with hello
And ended with goodbye
And filled the in between
With images of us
Of me
Of you
We filled it with smoke and music
We filled it with the smell
Of one another
What do you say now
I beg of you
Speak
Don't let me think
What's already haunting me
We have our usual script
Does that mean we'll stick to it
I wish I knew
I wish I knew
Just what you felt
What you think
We started with an introduction
You were laughing
I was shy
Do you remember?
Remember how it all begins
Because I don't know what state
Our bodies will be in
By the end
