Alec's pov
The group went outside Izzy's room, into the hallway.
Alec, being Alec, had a really difficult and complicated plan. He had to tell it twice for everybody to understand it.
-Maybe I should make a drawing, Alec said.
Clary said "no". Jace tried to explain a plan with a drawing one day, and all of the people on it looked like trees. Alec was as good as Jace.
-Your drawing isn't going to help anybody.
-Thanks, he said, that hurts.
Catarina Loss came in the room, stoping Clary and Alec's argumentation. Seconds later, the gang was in Isabelle's room. Simon was taking one of her hand and Alec was taking the other one. Clary was beside Simon and Jace was in front of her, on the other side of the bed. Magnus was at Izzy's feet.
-Okay, everyone that isn't related to this baby, out! Out, out, yelled Dr.Loss
At the end, there was only Simon and Alec.

Clary's pov

-You didn't want to stay in there?
Jace shook his head.
-I wanted to stay with you.
Clary leaned on the blue pastel wall. Her eyes were half closed, like her mouth. She was looking at her feet and was playing piano with her fingers on the wall. The  floor was covered with navy carpet with some black spots. Everything smelled coffee and antiseptic. Light was pouring out of the window, illuminating Clary's red hair. It was still snowing outside, but not enough to cover the window. Its colour seemed surreal, white as... Well, there was nothing as white as snow, was there? Anyway, that's what Clary thought.
-I'm going to buy some coffee. You want some, she asked to Jace.
Jace nodded and smiled.
Clary followed the indications to find the cafeteria. She was so hungry, her belly was making the noise of a dying beluga.
The cafeteria was a big room painted with pastel colours.
Clary got in line. There was five people waiting in front of her. The guy commanding at the front of the line began to yell. He was a big guy, his biceps covered in tattoos, his red hair in a small ponytail.
-You incompetent freak! Do you know how to make an order, at all?!? My grandma is faster than you!
-Sir, calm down, pleaded the employer.
-No, dammit! My sister is having her baby!
-Sir..
-No, he yelled, slapping the counter with the palm of his hand.
The guy behind him, a small, thin, browned guy, that looked at lot like Bilbo, took his shoulder.
-Sir, he said, please listen to the young women.
It was an error. The big guy took Bilbo by the elbow and twisted his arm. Then, he gave Bilbo a good punch in the belly. Clary got out of the line and went to the big guy. She took his hand and pressed on the soft spot on it. The big guy released Bilbo. Clary took his other hand and, in five seconds, the big guy found himself incapable of moving. He was on the floor, Clary's knee on his back, keeping his hands together with a little help from her hands. Her hair was now twice as fuzzy and had a perl of sweat leaking from them. Everybody in the room stopped making noise and all the eyes were on Clary and her new prisoner. Clary blushed, suddenly realizing everybody's attention was on her. The girl behind the counter called security, while the big guy tried to get out of Clary's grip. Of course, to him, she was just a weird little ninja girl that had a weird superpower force. Clary tighten her grip and the guy stopped trying to get out of it, realizing he was just wasting time and energy.
"Good decision", Clary thought. Because, even if she didn't to admit it, her hands and knees were getting kinda tired.
The Bilbo guy slowly walked to Clary, like she was going to jump on him too. He was clutching his elbow.
-Wow, he said. You... You are so brave! You were, like, a total ninja! By he way, I'm Louis Thim.
-Clarissa Herondale, she said, shaking his hand with difficulty.
Following Bilbo's lead, people slowly got out of the line or their chair and seconds later, Clary was in the center of the crowd. A blond guy got out a card and gave it to Clary.
-Stephen Gilbert. I have a bodyguard company. Please look into it.
-Thanks, said Clary, standing up.
The security took the big guy, and Clary learned his name; Jay Dennis.
-Well, said Clary loudly for the crowd to understand her, my para... Best friend is giving birth. I'm sorry, I got to go.
"Awww"s and "Oh no"s fuzzed out, but they let their new hero go.
