I wake up to my phone alarm going off. '11 o'clock... Already...' After getting off my bed, I start to do my usual routine. I finish and grab a bite to eat before heading out the door.

I arrive at the Pizzeria shortly. 'Well... Let's see how this goes.' After parking my car, I walk around the side of the building until I find a door labeled 'employees only'. I input the code given to me then wait for the distinctive...

     *Click!*

I open the door and immediately get blasted by the smell of grease and burnt pizza. 'I'm gonna get hungry aren't I?' I walk inside, taking note of all the posters of animatronics covering the walls. 'They look kinda familiar...' I wander around until I find myself in the main party room, complete with its stage and animatronics. I walk up close to the stage and look at the different animals. 'I don't really get why kids like you so much... You just look creepy in my opinion.' I jolt when a loud voice echos from the hallway to my left.

"Uh, hello?" I turn and start to walk down the hallway cautiously.

"Hello?" I respond to the voice.

"Hello, hello? Uh, hello and welcome to your new summer job at the new and improved Freddy Fazbear's Pizzeria." I turn the corner and stop when I spot no one around. 'That's weird...' I head to the small office-like area at the end of the hallway. I sit down in the chair and take a look around. On the desk sits a fan blowing cool air, a flashlight and a tablet. Two large vents sit on either side of the desk with light switches.

"Uh, I'm here to talk you through some of the things you can expect to see during your first week here and to help you get started down this new and exciting career path." I pick up the tablet and turn it on. A screen pops up showing the stage and all three animatronics. 'Security cameras... Cool.'

"Uh, now, I want you to forget anything you may have heard about the old location, you know. Uh, some people still have a somewhat negative impression of the company. Uh... that old restaurant was kind of left to rot for quite a while, but I want to reassure you, Fazbear Entertainment is committed to family fun and above all, safety." I shift in my chair slightly to get more comfortable, bringing my legs up and slouching over the bright screen. 'You sure say 'Uh.' a lot, don't you? It's not surprising that people have negative views either, especially after what happened a couple weeks ago.'

"They've spent a small fortune on these new animatronics, uh, facial recognition, advanced mobility, they even let them walk around during the day. Isn't that neat? But most importantly, they're all tied into some kind of criminal database, so they can detect a predator a mile away. Heck, we should be paying them to guard you." I flip through the cameras until I reach the one for the stage again. 'That is actually pretty cool... Wait... Bonnie's missing!'

"Uh, now that being said, no new system's without its... kinks. Uh... you're only the second guard to work at that location. Uh, the first guy finished his week, but complained about... conditions. Uh, we switched him over to the day shift, so hey, lucky you, right?" I flip through all the different cameras, trying to find Bonnie. 'Yup, lucky me!' I finally find him right outside the vent to my right. 'Don't even think about it buddy.'

"Uh, mainly he expressed concern that certain characters seemed to move around at night, and even attempted to get into his office. Now, from what we know, that should be impossible. Uh, that restaurant should be the safest place on earth. So while our engineers don't really have an explanation for this, the working theory is that... the robots were never given a proper "night mode". So when it gets quiet, they think they're in the wrong room, so then they go try to find where the people are, and in this case, that's your office." I turn on my flashlight and look down the hallway, just to make sure nothing else is trying to come in. Thankfully, nothing is and I turn my attention back to the cameras.

"So our temporary solution is this: there's a music box over by the Prize Counter, and it's rigged to be wound up remotely. So just, every once in awhile, switch over to the Prize Counter video feed and wind it up for a few seconds. It doesn't seem to affect all of the animatronics, but it does affect... one of them." I turn to the Counter feed and spot the button to wind up the music box. I wind it as far as I can then turn back to Bonnie, only to find him gone. 'Only one?!' I turn to the stage, hoping to see the toy rabbit back in his spot but I have no such luck. I flick through each camera until I find him in the vent leading to my office. 'Great.'

"Uh, and as for the rest of them, we have an even easier solution. You see, there may be a minor glitch in the system, something about robots seeing you as an endoskeleton without his costume on, and wanting to stuff you in a suit, so hey, we've given you an empty Freddy Fazbear head, problem solved! You can put it on anytime, and leave it on for as long as you want. Eventually anything that wandered in, will wander back out." I look around the room a bit and spot the empty head the man spoke of. I get off my chair to grab it and examine it, turning it over in my hands to see how to use it. 'It's not the prettiest thing in the world but if they say it works...' I slip on the mask, carefully, then check the light on the vent Bonnie was in. His face appears around the corner and I race back to my chair. I watch as the animatronic climbs out of the vent quite smoothly for something of his size and clutch onto the arms of my chair for dear life. 'Please work. Please work. Please work.' A steady mantra goes through my head as Bonnie looks around the room, almost in a confused manner. His ear twitches and his head tilts to the side as a noise starts to come from the tablet. He picks up the tablet and stares at it for what seems like minutes before his ear twitches again and he moves on, leaving the tablet behind.

"Uh, something else worth mentioning is kind of the modern design of the building. You may have noticed there are no doors for you to close, heh. But hey, you have a light! And even though your flashlight can run out of power, the building cannot. So, don't worry about the place going dark. Well, I think that's it. Uh, you should be golden. Uh, check the lights, put on the Freddy head if you need to, uh, keep the music box wound up, piece of cake. Have a good night, and I'll talk to you tomorrow."

"Wait! Don't leave me!" I scream, with the mask still on. I shut my mouth right after the words escape, praying that nothing heard. But something did, as stomps echo through the hallway rapidly, heading in my direction. I panic and scramble to shine the flashlight down the hall. I flicker the light several times due to my shaking hands before I register what lays before me. A red, pirate fox stands too close to the door for comfort.

"Hm... You must be Foxy." I whisper as I examine this new animatronic. His fur is mostly in tatters, along with some of his suit which seems to be torn off. A harsh beeping breaks me out of my concentration and I bring up the cameras. A red warning sign flashes in the corner of the screen. 'Huh? What's that for...?' I flip through the different cameras until I reach the Prize Counter. The timer for the music box is nearly depleted. 'Shoot!' I wind it up to the max amount then put the camera back down. I take off the mask as well and run my hands through my messy hair. 'Well... that was stressful.' I turn on the flashlight once to make sure Foxy is gone then sink into my chair, relaxing in this small moment of peace.

I turn on the cameras once more to check on everybody. Freddy still stands on the stage with his microphone, Chica has left and is now in one of the party rooms, and finally Bonnie is playing his banjo in a different party room. An electronic bell then rings, and something strange takes place. Bonnie stands slowly and walks out into the hall. I check on Chica as well and found she has done the same. Then both animatronics walk back to the stage and climb on, getting into their usual performance stance. I glance at the clock in the corner of the screen and notice that the time is now 6:00. 'The shift's over already? Not that I'm sad but it went by so fast.' I check each of the cameras, just to make sure everyone is where they belong, then I gather what little I brought and walk out into the halls. I glance over at the stage and spot Bonnie staring at me out of the corner of his eye. 'Creepy...' I run the rest of the way out and close the door tight behind me. I lean against the door until I catch my breath and take in the full extent of what just happened.

"I work... at a pizzeria... with animatronics... that could possibly kill you..."
