Chapter Thirty Two : Jeju Island II
Lee Jung Na's POV
"Like what you see?" Lee Dong Hae asked, making me frown in confusion.
When he smirked at me, I realised I was gaping at the view infront of me all along.
"Of course! Who wouldn't like a view like this! This is daebak!" I said and jumped around, allowing my sneakers to sink into the sand.
The sun was setting, disappearing into the sea and the sky was a dark orange-purple, making the view infront of me look like a piece of art.
My appreciation were suddenly disrupted when I felt someone grab my leg.
"Yah yah yah! Lee Dong Hae! What are you doing?!" I screamed and grabbed Lee Dong Hae's shoulder for support as he lifted one of my legs up to remove my sneakers and socks, and then switching to the other and doing the same.
He was already barefooted.
"Ahhhhhhhh Lee Dong Hae, what are you doing! It's cold!" I whined as I rubbed my feet together. I mean, hello? It's the winter season!
Suddenly, Lee Dong Hae's warm hand grabbed mine and he pulled me towards the vast blue sea.
"AHKKKKKKKKK!" I screamed and jumped the moment my feet hit the water.
It felt like ice and yet, all Lee Dong Hae did was laugh. He was almost laughing his head off at my reaction.
Before I could run away back to dry land, Lee Dong Hae tightened his grip around my wrist and pulled me back into his arms.
"Jung Na ah, don't go." Lee Dong Hae whispered into my ear sadly as he hugged me from the back, my hands hugged around my tummy, his hands hugged around mine and his chin resting on my shoulder. My back was against his chest and yet, I could still feel how fast his heart was beating.
Lee Dong Hae, can you hear the pace of my heartbeat too?
Suddenly, I could no longer feel the icy cold waves hitting my bare feet, I could no longer hear the chattering of the people in the beach restaurant, I could no longer hear the squeaks of the birds flying freely above us. Suddenly, all I could hear and feel, was anything that came from Lee Dong Hae.
"Lee Dong Hae?" I called out.
"Um?" Lee Dong Hae answered and I shuddered as his voice box vibrated around my shoulders and his chest vibrated on my back as he spoke.
"Nothing, I just wanted to hear you speak." I confessed unknowingly and blushed after I realised what I just said when Lee Dong Hae chuckled.
"I love you."
Wait, am I hearing things?
Definitely, I must be hearing things.
"You, what did you just say?" I asked, unsure of what I just heard.
Lee Dong Hae then turned me around to face him as he held me firmly by my shoulders.
"Lee Jung Na, I'm going crazy! Don't you know how much I like you? Do you know how much it kills me every day to see you with Siwon? Do you know how much I want to punch Park Se Kwang in the face when I see him? Loving you is making me go crazy, I was never like this!" I stared at Lee Dong Hae wide-eyed. So this is how he has been feeling all along?
"I..I didn't know.." I managed to stutter.
"Yah, don't cry." Lee Dong Hae said and I felt his warm hands caress my cheek and wipe away the tear that I didn't even know escaped from my eye.
