"Taehyung?"

The attention of the two boys were snapped away from Taehyung, to find a boy stood behind Seokjin, his face almost as shocked as Taehyung's. Yoongi's gaze faltered as he tried to recall the boy's face; it seemed familiar somehow. Seokjin simply gazed between the two, confused as to what kind of atmosphere was happening between Taehyung and the other boy.

"Tae? What's-...?" Seokjin began, his voice trailing off into the distance, his gaze resting on Taehyung with his breath halted.

"H..." Taehyung gulped, his voice wobbling. "...H-Hoseok." He finally uttered, his small voice weak and wavering. Yoongi gasped as he was struck with the sudden stream of memories from a few years before, although it was blurred he could still see the images: a young boy in the front row of his third concert when he had just began rapping, laughing and dancing, sticking out his hand for him to smack playfully, leaving his concert with Namjoon by his side, breathing into the cold night air that nipped against his face bitterly, startling when he heard a weak voice wail out, finding a young boy in a dark night alleyway, his throat under the tight grip of another boy... 'Why are you doing this? Hoseok!' were the muffled cries of the boy - vulnerable and alone. Hoseok.

Before Yoongi could even process the mass of images flooding through his brain in so little seconds, Seokjin's head shot back to leer at the boy, his eyes scanning over his long-awaited enemy; how can you stand there with any kind of pride, knowing what you did? How dare you even try to talk, or even stare at Taehyung after what you have done? Shameless bastard.

Hoseok.

Seokjin's eyes caught Hoseok's. His eyes narrowed as he felt his blood boil beneath his skin at the first sight of the boy who hurt the one he cared about most. Who hurt Taehyung.

"You fucking..."

Seokjin hissed the words out like venom, before they became slowly drowned out as he failed to contain himself any longer. Like a bullet, Seokjin shot up from his seat, racing forward to the other, grabbing his shirt, his fist in a death-tight grip. Yoongi gasped suddenly, still in daze, Taehyung hesitating for a brief moment recollecting himself as he couldn't apprehend the scene that was unfolding in front of him, unable to believe anything he was seeing. Why is he here? Hoseok... Why... Why are you back? What is this?

"Hey, what the hell is your problem?!" Hoseok spat back at the stranger in front of him.

"My problem?!" Seokjin scoffed, his forehead millimetres from Hoseok's, the burning hot rage from his skin radiating the room. "You-... I'm going to fucking kill you, you bastard!" He screamed, as he threw the other backwards. Hoseok jolted as he hit the floor, before his expression hardened as he shot back up and shoved the other. The whole room's attention was attracted to the scene, bursting into an animalistic roar of noise; cheering and shouting from every direction.

"Jin! Seokjin! Please...!" Yoongi wailed pulling Seokjin back as he tried throwing punches in Hoseok's direction.

Taehyung blinked as he finally unfroze from his dazed state, witnessing what was happening in front of him before it clicked in his brain what was going on. He gasped, raising his hand to his mouth, his eyes widening as he watched Seokjin start a fight with Hoseok. "Seokjin!" He cried out, but made no difference. Yoongi desperately dragged him backwards, as did another student for Hoseok, but the furious glare that Seokjin burnt into Hoseok made it clear that they weren't over yet.

Taehyung stepped forward to help Yoongi but he stopped, wincing his eyes, lifting his hand to his temple with his head dipped. Taehyung's head felt heavy and light simultaneously, the pounding and thundering in his head intangible in the noise which buzzed like a broken cymbal, his skin flustering over in huge waves of hot and cold, goosebumps washed over by the boiling hot acid pooling inside of him.

He needed to leave. And fast.

Taehyung's hair fell over his eyes as he sprinted for the doors, he didn't know where he wanted to go, where to go; all he knew was that he needed to go, and as fast and as far as he could. He had to escape. The wind gushed onto his skin shivering at the impact of the cold spring air. His legs felt as if they were burning as he ran and ran, his eyes squeezed shut in desperation.

"What did I even do, huh?" Hoseok snapped. "You're just fucking insane!"

"'What did I do'," Seokjin mocked bitterly. "You're a bastard, asking what you did! You know what you did! You're fucking heartless!" He screeched, eagerly diving forward to try and leave Yoongi's grip. Hoseok let out a single digit of laughter, with no amusing tone.

"Go on! Tell me what I did, if I'm such a 'bastard'! I don't even know your fucking name!"

"Taehyung!" Seokjin barked out. Hoseok gulped at the mention of his name, his eyes mixed with emotion. "You, Hoseok, you messed him up!"

Hoseok's mouth fell agape, lost for words. "Don't you feel anything after what you did to him?! That night, I was there to walk him home, only I couldn't, I had to fucking carry him back because he was so badly hurt. If I wasn't there, anything could have happened to him!" Seokjin raged. Hoseok bit down on his tongue and hung his head with shame. Yoongi's eyes widened, dropped his arms, turning to look at Taehyung, only to find that he wasn't there.

"I...-" Hoseok began.

"Tae?" Yoongi cut Hoseok off with the calling of Taehyung's name after he couldn't be found. Seokjin and Hoseok's attention was dragged away, the two snapping their eyes across to notice Yoongi running for the open fire exit door.

Yoongi shuffled swiftly down the pavement, flipping his phone out of his pocket, already dialling in Taehyung's number. He raised the phone to his ear and listened impatiently to the hesitant rings on the caller line. As the caller line strung dead, Yoongi bit the inside of his cheek, rubbing at his forehead in distress. But suddenly, he could hear the sound of fast, faded footsteps to his left. He quickly snapped his head towards the sound to see Taehyung sprinting down the side of the road, clutching his head in his hand and his eyes winced shut.

"Taehyung!" Yoongi called out. Taehyung flinched before halting looking up the path to see Yoongi and the corners of his mouth, just barely, curled into a small smile. Yoongi smiled back pitifully in return before he paused, his breath hitched.

Taehyung had halted in the middle of the road.

A lorry was nearing. Yoongi panicked barely able to form words, before bursting out:

"Watch out! Tae!"

Taehyung flinched, realising where he was turning around to see the lorry, but only meters away. He was stuck, frozen. He couldn't move. He could only stay stood, like a helpless animal about to die. This is it.

He winced his eyes shut, feeling a harsh thud into his side to be met with cold, hard gravel.
