He'd been sitting there for at least quarter of an hour, a cold de-caf latté sitting between his fingers. He checked his phone for the thirteenth time that evening, tapping away at the coffee cup anxiously.
7:05
Yoongi was twenty minutes late. The waitress working there pitied him and gave him a free cookie, thinking that he'd been stood up by his date. Seokjin thanked her sweetly, taking a bite out of the cookie.
"Whoever she is, she's not worth your time." The girl, who carried the name tag of 'Hani' assured, placing a comforting hand on Seokjin's back. Seokjin smiled back at her, before the words then processed in his head. Seokjin opened his mouth to speak, but before he could speak a letter, Yoongi came barging through the door, sliding into the seat opposite Seokjin.
"I'm so sorry, the concert was longer than expected."
The waitress looked up, eyeing Yoongi quickly out of the corner of her eye nonchalantly before double-taking.
The girl raised an eyebrow to Yoongi, shooting him an accusing glare, showing no sympathy for making Seokjin wait so long. "You should really treat your boyfriend better. He's been waiting here for ages, you know." She exasperated. Yoongi stared at her confused, before his gaze landed on Seokjin, who had now decided to take on the role, looking pissed off at Yoongi with arms crossed and eyebrows furrowed.
"Oh, you're mistaken, we're not-"
"Look dude, all I'm saying is that you should appreciate what you have while it's still yours." She announced. "Don't be surprised if dumps you soon." She sassed, turning back to face Seokjin. "Enjoy your cookie, sweetie." She smiled.
"Thanks." He smiled back. As she left, Yoongi leant over the table and slapped him on the arm. "What?" Seokjin chuckled, innocently. "In my defence, you did stand me up. I've been waiting for fucking ages." He said, taking a bite out of his cookie, watching as Yoongi rolled his eyes. "Anyway, wasn't Namjoon meant to be coming-?"
As if on cue, Namjoon just came back from the café's ordering point.
"W-wha-when did you get here?" Seokjin gasped.
"I came in a couple minutes before Yoongi, you didn't really notice me though." He yawned, placing two de-caffeinated coffees down one for himself the other for Seokjin. Seokjin tilted his head questioningly at Namjoon who took a seat beside Yoongi.
"I-I've already got one, thanks." He laughed, picking up his coffee cup as a gesture to show Namjoon, the liquid inside cold and excess floating on the top unappealingly.
"Hey! What about me?" Yoongi whined, poking Namjoon in the arm.
"Forgot." Namjoon shrugged, causing Yoongi's mouth to fall open in offence. Seokjin giggled, Namjoon staring up to catch a glimpse of his smile, coyly hidden behind his hand.
"Well whatever." Yoongi disregarded, stealing Seokjin's second cup of coffee, dismissing the glare he recieved from Namjoon in doing so. "Jin, what's up?" He asked, taking a sip from his cup. Seokjin stared down, looking at the contents of his cup, watching the floating excess swirl in patterns along the top the coffee.
"I might as well just come out and say it..." He muttered, taking a deep breath. "I need advice."
"Lay it on me." Yoongi replied, taking another sip from his drink.
"...I like someone."
