Phil's POV

Dan and I have been hanging out a lot recently. I went over to his house and talked often. I don't know what it was but being around Dan made me, happy?

He's so energetic and full of life. He is also very loving and caring and I really wish I could be like him. I honestly feel like a bitter old man who's close to death but when I'm around Dan I'm laughing and there's a constant smile on my face.

I'm still not sure if it's a good idea to be doing this. I don't want to drag Dan into any sort of trouble, I couldn't live with the thought that something bad had happened to Dan because of me. I just think that I'm too attached to leave. Being attached to someone is so dangerous. The thought of not being around Dan as often as I am kills me.

I was currently laying down in bed while eating an apple and watching some tv. My boss had given me two weeks off to prepare for a huge mission he's planning. He hired twenty of his best workers to participate in this plan of his. He has yet to reveal any sort of information yet which I'm assuming isn't all good news for us but we can't back out. Nothing ticks off the boss more than arguing against him.

Dan had texted me earlier that he was at work and that a grouchy old man threw his coffee at him because he had gotten his order wrong. If it was me in Dan's shoes, lord knows what I would've done to that man. I would've boiled up some coffee and poured it in his eyes and down his throat. I would've shoved his head in the oven and waited for it to melt-ok you get the point.

When is your shift over?

It didn't take long enough for him to respond.

9:30 :( it's my turn to lock up tonight.

Dan's POV

The shop had closed up 10 minutes ago but I was finishing dusting the tables and washing the last dishes that were used up. Soon enough everything was nice and clean and was time to lock up. I drove home and once I arrived I was greeted with Phil standing in front of my apartment door looking down on his phone. He quickly looked up and broke into a huge grin; I couldn't help but do the same.

"Hey." I said walking towards him.

"Hey. I brought cashews." I couldn't help but chuckle and blush at him. He remembered.

During one of our late night conversations I had stated that bags of cashews were my biggest weakness.

"Thank you." I laughed while opening up the door. We walked in and I immediately threw my stuff on the floor and kicked off my shoes. We walked to the couch and flopped on while turning on the tv. Phil and I started munching on the cashews while watching The Great British Bake Off.

Phil and I somehow managed to gravitate towards each other and my head was now resting on his shoulder. I considered moving it off but knowing Phil, he would've pushed me off if it was truly bothering him.
