✨01-Coffee Shop✨

   At first when they walked in their friend,Simon,did not notice that they were there. Not until Alice let out a heavy sigh filled with sadness. That is when Simon Lewis looked up at the two with a smile on his face and saw that they didn't have a smile on her face,his smile dropped.

"Give me the professor's name and I will end them,"Simon said which made Alice want to laugh right away but she kept herself looking all "sad". Clary just gave a slight scoff and gave him a "really" look.

"With a scathing email to the dean,"he explained which caused Clary to shrug her shoulders.

"Don't even bother,"Alice said before they both sat down. Clary placed a paper down on the table that had bright red letters. As Simon looked he saw that the letters said CONGRATULATIONS. He let a small laugh to himself before looking up at Clary.

"Really sad face,"he asked then looked to Alice who now had a huge grin on her face.

"Well played,well played but you both are very cruel so what should I expect,"Simon said.

"Eh. Then again if she didn't get in then we would have something to laugh about. Your big email to the dean,"Alice said before throwing her head back as she left out a sarcastic laugh.

"Yeah,"Simon said with a roll of his eyes.

"They kind of liked my assigned work,but they flipped out over the drawings for our graphic novel,"Clary said seeming a little confused. Alice rolled her eyes at the mentioning of Clary's and Simon's little nerd art projects. Alice did art herself but hers was more complex. The waitress came by and place a coffee with a side of a biscotti in front of Clary and Simon. She gave Alice an ice coffee with a scone. Alice mumbled a thank you to the waitress before taking a sip.

"This day will go down in the history as the greatest 18th birthday that I have ever had,"Clary said before clicking her cup with Simon's as a cheers.

"Yes,with Maureen,after the show,"Simon added in.

"Absolutely,"Alice said. Maureen always tags along. Alice has noticed the love triangle going on between Simon,Maureen,and Clary. Simon likes Clary. Maureen likes Simon. Clary is blind to the fact that Simon is in love with her.

"So what's the deal with you and Maureen,"Clary asked with a teasing smile as she teased her nerdy best friend.

"What deal? No deal. We just sing together,"Simon said awkwardly before looking down at his latte.

"You seriously do not know that she has been crushing on you this entire time,"Alice said with a teasing smirk. She liked teasing Simon about Maureens crush over him. Simon's head shot up with slightly widened eyes.

"What? No. No,"Simon stammered out in a stutter.

"Simon,how can someone as smart and perceptive as you not realize as you not realize that the person sitting right there is in love with you,"Clary asked. Simon just gave her a small smile as a small rush of sadness rushed through him.

"I guarantee you that I am not the only smart,perceptive person to make that mistake,"Simon said as he slightly frowned as Clary showed no signs of getting what he meant. Alice just sighed as Clary looked down at her drink.

"That is a latte,"Simon said changing the subject. Clary blinked twice with her eyes looking down in disbelief.

"But I can swear that I had a biscotti,"Clary said pointing to her plate.

"Maybe you ate it really fast and didn't even notice,"Alice said but she could also swear that a biscotti was on her sister's plate not to long ago.

"Yeah. Happens to me all the time. When I'm happy,when I'm sad,"Simon says as he moves his gaze around in a playful way which causes both of the girls with him to laugh.

"But I will replace your mythical biscotti with an actual one,"he says as he gave his to Clary.

"Wow Si. You are like her savior,"Alice teased.

"Thank you,"Clary said before looking to her sister with a raised eyebrow over her comment. Alice raised her cup and sent her little sister a smile.

"You know what? Here is to you,"Alice says. Raising her cup along with Simon,she sends a smile back her sister's way.

"L'chaim,"Clary says as the others join in and clink their glasses together before they all drink. 

In the beginning of the story like the first few chapters or so Alice Fray won't be meeting Hodge yet but she will soon when her and Clary get launched into the shadowworld full of downworlders and shadowhunters. So stay tuned
