Chapter 31: New home

I'm sorry to say this guys, but this is the last chapter. I know that you already answered this question, but I would like you to do that again. Would you like me to write a sequel?

Chapter 31

Katniss P.O.V.

She seriously hit me! She have never done that, but it still doesn't excuse her behavior. What if, every time I got mad at someone, I walk around and hit people, that wouldn't work, and neither does this! I need a break from my mother. I can't even be in the same room as her without beginning to explode in anger.

"Katniss! Katniss no!" Prim screams after us as I storm out of the house.

"Prim I can't even be in the same room as our mother", I say. "It's better for you if I move, I don't want you to hear us fight, it's not good for you".

"To be without you is not good for me", Prim cries and it stings in my heart. "You're the one who's raised me, I need you!"

Plutarch comes out.

"Katniss you can't..." He starts but I interrupt him.

"No! I'm gonna move, I don't care what you think, I really don't, I can't live e under the same roof as that women anymore, I always find excuses for her behavior, but I'm not gonna anymore, nothing she does now can make what she just did undone!" I say, trying not to get my bad temper out over Plutarch, who really hasn't done anything bad at the moment, other than getting married to a crazy woman, but somehow I'm glad he did, otherwise we wouldn't have moved here and I wouldn't have found my friends and found out the other part of my family. "So I'm not gonna keep living her, just forget it!"

"No I understand that, I just wanted to tell you that you can live in my beach house, your mother doesn't even know I have it", Plutarch says and my eyes widen, he actually has secrets from my mother, I think I'm starting to like this guy. "I it bought a while ago, to give to you, it was suppose to be a present to you when you start your Senior Year in High School".

"A whole house?" I ask puzzled. I can't believe what I'm hearing. Is this for real? No I mean, for real, for real? "Are you crazy?"

"No, and I thought that some of your friends", he nods at Peeta, Annie and Finnick. "Also would want to live with you, so I bought a pretty big house, and it's right on the beach, open the back door and you feel the sand between your toes when you step outside".

I look at the others and they can't believe their ears either.

"We three can live there?" Annie asking, amazed.

Plutarch smiles and nods. He takes up something from his pocket and holds it for us to see. No, two things. No, two keys.

"Two keys? They don't even look the same, are both of them to the house?" I ask.

"No this one is to the house, you just need to go and make three more", Plutarch says giving the key to Peeta. He's dangling the other key in front of my face. "This is a car I bought to you, I know that you don't like to drive, but sometime you will, and in the meantime the guys can have fun with it".

He gives the key to Finnick.

"Where is it?" I ask.

"In the garage", Plutarch says. "Come on I'll show you".

We follow him to the garage and there stands a silver car. It's beautiful.

"What the heck? Is this a dream or something?" Finnick explodes.

"It's a 2012 Porsche 911 Carrera Cabriolet!" Peeta exclaims. "Oh my fucking god. Mr. Heavensbee, are you insane?"

Plutarch chuckles.

"So I guess that you like it", he says.

"My mom doesn't know about this either?" I ask.

"No, you know that she never goes into the garage", Plutarch says. "Katniss the house is already furnished and ready to move in, the only rooms that doesn't have any furnitures or are painted are the four rooms I left for you to decide for yourselves and move your old stuff in".

He's serious. He's really serious.

"Plutarch I really don't know how to thank you", I say.

"A hug would be enough, and it would also be the very first", he chuckles and I laugh as I actually hugs my stepfather.

Maybe this won't be so bad. I get to live with two of my best friends, and my boyfriend, under our Senior Year in High School that starts in about one and a half weeks.

I won't be living under the same roof as my mother, who I'll never ever forgive, no matter what she says. She has let me down and lied to my face too many times, she doesn't deserve my forgiveness. She really doesn't.

But other than that, life seems to take a turn for the better, then I just need to hope that it will stay this way.
