Chapter 28: Seriously Mom?

Charpter 28

Katniss P.O.V.

I wake up because of my phone starts ringing.

We've been here for about a month and everyday gets funnier and funnier. I got a bit of guilt yesterday when I found myself to almost start to love my grandparents more than my own mother. But the fact that my grandparents seem to love me and they do so much for me, makes me feel how much I really love them, and my two uncles, and of course my two cousins.

So you could say that our summer plans changed a bit, but still, that doesn't really matter, we're still far away from home, and that's the point, to get away from reality, and right now, it feels like I'm in a fairy tale, because I have a wonderful boyfriend, two of my best friends are my wonderful cousins, and my grandparents are just simply the best.

I open my eyes and sees that my phone is lighting up as someone calls me.

I'm lying spoon with Peeta, so I feel how he begins to stir a bit, but his arms doesn't leave me.

"Who is it?" I head him whisper sleepy in his sexy husky morning voice.

It's only like 4 a.m. in the morning. Who the hell would call me this early? Hah a crazy person, obviously.

"I don't know", I answer sleepy and, bury my head deeper in the big pillow we share and deeper in Peetas embrace.

Of course we have more pillows, but we sleep so close that we always use only one of them, the one in the middle of the bed.

I grown tired and just let the phone ring.

"Aren't you going to answer?" Peeta asks.

"No, I'm too tired, who ever it is, it can wait a few hours", I say and the phone becomes quiet.

I sigh in relief as I close my eyes.

Just as I'm about to fall asleep, the phone starts ringing. Again.

"Damn..." I sigh tired.

"Katniss just answer it, it may be important", Peeta says. "What if something happened with Prim?"

He's right. I better answer it.

I take the phone and sees in the display that it's my mother.

"Hello", I answer in my sleepy voice as I lay down in Peetas embrace again, and he starts to stroke my hair.

"KARNISS EVERDEEN! YOU COME BACK HOME RIGHT NOW, YOUNG LADY!" Mom burst in the other end and I get so scared that I drop my phone.

"What the...?" Peeta must have heard her. The whole house must have head her. It would be hard not to hear her.

"I don't know", I whisper to Peeta.

"WHO ARE YOU TALKING TO?" My mom yells.

I keep the phone away from my ear and sit up. Peeta also sits up, looking at me.

I put the phone back to my ear so I can talk.

"It's only Peeta mom. You remember Peeta Mellark right? I've told you about him, remember?" I say, and than I take the phone away again.

"AND WHAT IS HE DOING WITH YOU THIS EARLY? NO DON'T ANSWER THAT, JUST COME RIGHT HOME. NOW!" She yells.

My ears are seriously starting to hurt, even though I don't even have the phone to my ear.

I look terrified at Peeta. Why the hell is my mom freaking out?

"Mom would you care to explain why you're freaking out?" I ask, starting to get upset as well. "And stop yelling!"

"I know exactly were you are! Your phone told me, Plutarch made something with your phone and now I can tell where you are!" She shouts at me.

Holy crap!

"Shit..." Peeta whispers low.

I nod at him.

"And I'm not even gonna get into how disappointed I am with you for not telling me..." She shouts but I interrupt her. Now she has really crossed the line, how the hell can she say that?

"Wow, stop there, if you know were I am, than you should now how I feel. You never told me about this, I had to find out when we ran out of gas and I was on a road trip", I say angry. "And I can't believe that you fed Glimmer and Marvel without telling us, and the fact that both of your brothers lives in Panem. Yeah they're here now! Uncle Anton is really cool, and he looks exactly like you!"

"You need to understand that..."

"What?! I don't need to understand a single thing coming from you! And don't you even dare tell Prim about this, I'm the one to do that when I get home, and I decide when that's gonna be, do you hear me?! And don't call me again!" I shout and hang up the phone.

I put my phone back on the side table.

"Hey shh..." Peeta says wiping my cheeks with his big thumb.

I didn't even realize that I'm cry until know.

I throw my arms around Peetas neck and attack him with my lips. The kiss quickly turns french and we lay back down with our heads on the pillow while I press my body hard against his. Peetas hands lands on my waist and mine in his hair. But soon Peetas hands starts to travel down to my but and I just love that. We only pull away our lips to breath and every now and then Peetas lips are on my neck, sucking and kissing, before he returns to my lips.

I just love how my tongue melts inside his mouth while wrestling with his tongue.

I moan. I just love kissing Peeta, he makes everything that feels bad go away in only a few seconds. Right now it feels like his all that I need. And I want all if him.

My hands travel to his chest and starts to finger on his abs.

One of my hands travel down to his pants and sticks my fingers under the hem of his soft pants. I start to pull them down but them Peeta stops me.

"No Katniss wait", he says.

"What?" I ask.

"You're not thinking straight, you're angry, I don't want you to do something that you'll regret later on", Peeta says softly.

I sigh. He's probably right. I mean I don't really know if I'm ready for that yet. I want to be, but I don't know if I am.

"You're right", I say. "But just so you know, I wouldn't regret it, and I won't ever regret it when it happens, because it will be with you".

"I love you, so much", Peeta smiles.

"I love you baby", I say and give him one last kiss. Not very strong or long, but a sweet and short, before I make myself even more comfortable and falls asleep with my face against Peetas warm chest as I hear his rhythmic heart beat.
