"Zoey??!", a voice from far away called me. I tried to open my eyes. Nothing.

Oh well, why not staying in this comfortable silence. Someone touched my shoulder and shook me. My eyes flew open and I started panicking when I couldn't remember how I got into my room. It felt like a bad dream. When I sat up I looked straight into Dr. Goldsteins' concerned face.

"Wha...?", I couldn't form a proper sentence yet. My brain was still working really slow after passing out on the floor of my old room.

"You didn't come out after ten minutes and I started to get worried....", she said.

I slowly got up and looked around. It was like a dream. I went to my closet to get out a big bag and my suitcase.

"What am I allowed to take?", I asked her.

"Your clothes and a few things that remind you of your family. The rest is taken to the courthouse where you need to go for your inheritance. It is highly possible that all the money and jewelry will be yours the moment you turn eighteen. I'm sorry... I wish you could keep it all right now", Dr. Goldstein explained.

I nodded, tears stinging in my eyes. I needed to fit my entire life into a few bags and boxes. Slowly I started gathering my clothes together. After I had basically everything out of my closet I went over to my bed and picked up my favorite teddy bear. Yes, I'm fifteen and I still have stuffed animals. So what? Nothing's bad about that, right?? I got out a separate box. My memory box. There were already a lot of things in there. Photos, discs with videos, drawings from my sisters to me. I walked out into the other rooms and picked up tiny little things out of every room and put them into my box. Holly's favorite stuffed animal, Anna's Notebook that she used to take everywhere, Mom's and dad's wedding photo. I smiled when I looked at it. Mom had a slightly swollen belly. She was pregnant with me at the time. I also took a necklace of my mother and some of the photo albums. Slowly I walked back upstairs and put the stuff into my bag. The last thing I did was emptying my piggy bank. At this moment I had the feeling that I would need the money at some point of time.

I couldn't imagine what would be happening in the next few hours.

"We can go", I said softly.

Dr. Goldstein put an arm around me and helped me with my bags.

Tears were silently rolling down my face when we drove away.

Away from my life.

*(A/N) I know that this is a really short update but I think that this one was necessary. I plan on making the longer again in the next few chapters. Please tell me what you think down in the comments x ~A*
