General POV
The howl of police sirens destroyed the peaceful silence of a beautiful midsummer day. What an irony that something that horrible would happen on a wonderful day like this, right? Don't you associate gray days with sadness?
Blue lights of police and ambulance cars were everywhere. People, glaring at the place where two completely damaged cars were smoldering. Awful. They were trying to take photos, unobtrusive yet completely obvious. Disgusting. Did they need to stare like vultures looking at their food they would eat within the next seconds?
The ambulance was trying to make their way through the cars standing around the crash. They had many difficulties but finally they made it. Maybe too late, maybe not.
Bodies were pulled out of the wrecks. Some dead, some alive.
The dead ones were covered by black cloths. Two people were rushed to the hospital, four came into a hearse. Somehow the place of accident was cleared, the wrecks were brought away, everyone moved on with his day. But for some people there was a world breaking apart today. Nearly everyone who witnessed this would have a decent day. But there were two girls on their way to the hospital, badly injured, unknowing that they lost their family. It wasn't even sure if they would survive their injuries.
In the hospital, shouting, doctors and surgeons were running around hectically. The lives of two girls, one under the age of ten, the other barely fifteen, were laying in the hands of these doctors now. Would they save them?
Hours and hours were spent in the OR, but did it help? Nobody could tell. It was a matter of time. Would they make it? Barely anyone believed that they would survive their injuries, not even the surgeons who really did their best. Both girls were in a coma and yet to be identified.
After a few hours the smaller girl needed to go into surgery again, she was in a really bad condition and the doctors already lost hope.
One rib injured her lungs and now the surgeons desperately tried to get the blood out.
But then...BEEP BEEP BEEEEEEEEEEEP
*(A/N) Short chapter, I know.... but I thought that some explaining should be done. I hope you like it and I would be happy about some Feedback
